Hi,

I talked to Anabel at DT today, and she said that even though they do not know for sure when they will re-open, they are pretty confident that they should be opening after Nov. 17th. She said they are moving weddings up to Nov. 17th now, and that there is 80% probability that they will re-open after the 17th. She asked me to call back on Thursday, and she should have an answer. Lets hope they know by Thursday!

I don't mean to be the negative nelly of this thread but I say they should take their Nov. 17 and...well you know what else.

They were VERY CONFIDENT they would re-open Oct. 15. Remember that? And then they were very confident they would re-open Nov.1.

If it happens WONDERFUL! But I just wish they would stop giving us dates that they themselves don't know whether or not they can make happen. Geez, when does it end?

And if Nov. 17th is the re-open date, then why are they offering to move a December bride.

UGH...they are making me sooo mad. Off to get me some medicine now...a nice big glass of merlot!

rofl.gif I was told that I would know something definite and they would move me if they didn't reopen by last week Tuesday 10/21 and now it's the following Tuesday 10/28 and they are saying the same thing to all of us ... my photographers told me that Mexican tomorrow really meant "whenever" ... I was thinking Dreams had higher standards - I HOPE THEY PROVE ME RIGHT....

That offer to move a Dec. wedding to Puerto Aventura is very worrying...

I don't understand it either, and I don't believe anything until it is "100%" confirmed... But I am still hoepful that they will re-open soon...

 

Whenever I call DT and ask for Landy or Lisette, the only one that answers calls lately is Anabel. She works at the same office as Landy and Lisette, and is one of the assistants. Her e-mail is: weddings1@dreamstulum.com.mx

Anabel seems to be the only person in that office now that the others are at other locations.

Anabel is who we dealt with and she got us moved to Barcelo. She seems really nice and she is the one who is going to get us 7 a la carte tickets unstead of 4 because at Dreams you can eat in the restaurants every night. She has tried to accomodate everything we have asked for. So far she seems capable, but we will see in a couple weeks how it goes.

It's very open and not very private at all. I saw a wedding take place a day before mine and they used that location. Everyone stopped and stared at them. But they do try to block people off and tell them to walk another way. Also the walk to the middle of the beach seemed a bit long and you have to walk pass the showers, which I thought wasn't so nice. But there is a bit of rocks in the ocean in that area so it gives it more interest.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
