FYI, Gaby got back to me and told me it was fine that I was bringing my own photographer. She said she can give me the sound system for the ceremony in exchange for using their photographer. I sent her an email back requesting they give me the sound system as well as a day pass for my photographer. I guess that is kind of an even trade. But included in the email she sent me, she asked me to send her the date of my wedding again because she forgot it. She said she has so many weddings that she just cant keep track. OMG...if they gave my date to someone else Im gonna throw a shit fit!!! I talked to her on the phone a few weeks ago and she said she wrote it down in her calander so no one else can take my time slot. Hmm...now Im starting to get worried.

WTFhuh.gif? why will gaby offer you the sound system for the ceremony (which is what i asked for) but claudia will only offer me the gazebo drapery? this is what i got in reply:

Unfortunately I can't give a total credit for the photography because the
Dreams ultimate is a package. The options are: Gazebo drapery or Video studio on the beach after ceremony.

For whatever it is worth I got the same question from Gaby a few weeks ago and our wedding is in less then 2 weeks now. I think they are just totally overwhelmed. I wouldnt be too worried about it. Try to remember they are dealing with a ton of emails/phone calls etc. I know it is not ideal for us but I think in the long run it will be worth it.

ladies I know you are all so stressed. i was the same way before I left. I actually sent Claudia a really nasty email right before I left. But when I arrived, she had everything taken care of. Truth be told once I got there and saw the place I changed a bunch of things. I orignally wanted to get married on the beach, I switched to the gazebo, I changed the menue, and the brides maids flowers. I changed the decorations for the gazebo. I know its hard to believe, but it will all be ok, and if something goes wrong, just take a shot of tequila and I garuntee it will all be better!!

WTF is a video studio on the beach?

I'm hoping all my guests drop out and I can drop the package lol i'll then get the free one as at least 5 (including me) have booked and then only pay for a small number and the deposit will pay for everything lol

I'm going into battle with Claudia in Feb when I have numbers - everyone has been told after 1st Feb if they aren't booked they aren't getting catered for and if they know me they will know i mean it lmao

I dont think you have to 2 different colors but I think its nice because it shows you each as individuals (the different colors) then as it mixes and blends together to me shows the uniting as a partnership. JMHO. See ya soon at Dreams!!

just an idea, whenever i send them any kind of email, i always sign it with both of our full names, and "dreams cancun wedding, may 28, 2009." i think it helps them to sort out all the emails and know exactly with whom they are dealing.

For anyone who got married at Dreams but had their legal ceremony before they left...could you tell that what they call their symbolic ceremony is different? I mean I wrote out our ceremony before we ended up having to get married here before hand so now our ceremony there is just symbolic. Thing is, most of our guests dont know we are already legally married. I still want to do the ceremony we wrote. I want the ceremony in Mexico to have every element of being the legal one minus the blood tests and all. Can anyone lend some insight? Thanks so much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
