For the same amount of people, the wedding & private reception here actually works out at least $1,000 cheaper than the other place I was originally considering..... smile159.gif If we switch to the semi-private reception the savings would be even better!

I was just calling them semi-private, but I was talking about the "Just Married" or the "Tropical" wedding packages where they'll make reservations for your group at one of the a la carte restaurants.

The "Romance" package has a canape reception at the wedding site, and the "Caribbean" package is a dinner reception for your group at the Poseidon restaurant or if you upgrade, at Blue Lagoon.

Do you have an upgrade price list for things such as bouquets and photographer prices? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Thanks!!
Sorry- I don't have price lists for flower upgrades/ photographer.

Charmaine did tell me these prices that aren't in the brochure:

Chair covers- $8/cover
Chair covers with sashes- $10/chair
Flowers on chairs- $12/each
Floral centerpieces- approximately $70/table

Hope that helps!

Do you know what it costs to upgrade to the Blue Lagoon with the Carribean package?

We are finding it difficult to decipher the differences between the various packages. We are also finding it difficult to get information from the wedding coordinator.

We want a private reception with dinner. Is the Carribean package what we should be choosing?

Thanks Ladies.

PS. This forum has been so helpful thus far.

It costs $300 to get the Blue Lagoon for your dinner reception.
And you're right, the private dinner reception is with the Caribbean Package.

She has been really slow in responding lately. When I first started corresponding with her, she would reply right away. I'm still trying to find out if we can substitute chicken on our dinner menu.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
