Do you think that's alright?

So how will you know who to send invitations to? Are you just sending invitations to people who verbally tell you they are coming??

Also, I think tcram is probably looking to book a vacation package (flight+hotel) which is why she is saying that she can't book yet. That's why we haven't booked yet at least! I can't wait to check that off the list!

Hi, I'm trying to upload me in my dress- but here is the link to the dress I picked.

Anjolique

For some reason I can't seem to upload an image...rrr... I ordered my dress 2 months ago and I'm glad I did because I was told it takes at least 6 months to get it in and have your first fitting- and even longer during high season. So, I guess If I were you I would start with that, it will be a big relief once you have it done and you just have to wait for the fitting. There may be more fittings which require more time.

I will upload a pic once I can figure out how to do it :).

I'm hoping to start on my save the dates and get them out soon. I'm still stressing over the Oct. Riviera weather though. undecided.gif

Good evening!

we haven't booked our own travel either yet - waiting for fares to come out. We did book the date with the hotel of course.

cdc0427 - I think its alright what you want to do with the invites! It makes total sense. Now...about the dress!

Just go to the nearest bridal dress boutique/store and try on as many different styles as possible. Its not too early to try on dresses! (regardless of potential weight loss). You maybe be surprised at what you like or dislike :) have fun - take pics :)

Can we see pictures of the dress? I'm getting frustrated because I don't know if I should begin to look for my dress now or wait a little. I don't even know what style I want. I do want to lose about 20 pounds for my wedding. What should I do?

I'd start looking now if I were you. It might take you awhile to find what you want, and some dresses take a long time to come in. At least go try some on, and if you find the one you love but are afraid to order a certain size because you might lose weight, wait a few months before ordering it (or as long as you can). Some designers take longer to order than others so at least if you know what dress you want, you know how long it will take to order. Mine is a Mikaella and they said it would take about 4 months to come in (quicker than I thought!)

Here's a pic of me in the dress with my mom:

Has everyone already sent out their Save the Dates?? I had originally wanted to have them out sent out by now, but it's looking like it's probably going to be more like end of November early December (with design & printing turn around).

Do you guys think that is too late??

PS...I love your dresses, Rachael and Heather!!

Thanks :)

Yep, I sent out Save the Dates in July. I wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible. But we just sent emails and had our wedding website set up...we didn't actually print and mail anything.

I think the more notice you give the better, but it's not too late now...

smf47,
I will be in contact with my TA. Once I know the people who began to pay for their trip I will know who to send invites to.

I plan on sending my announcement letters without the airfare now because I want to give people more time to pay for their trip and once airfare is up, I will be letting them know. Actually Apple Vacations offered me a group rate but I think it was extremely high so I didn't go with it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
