are you only looking in the cabo forum? there is a "what I would have done & would not have done" thread in the general area. many cabo brides post in there.

cabo is a very popular area for weddings on this forum so keep looking around. you should be able to find tons of info. and things don't change that fast. if an area was a good place to TTD in 2007, you can count on it being a good place for 2010.

that's the great thing about this forum, it's all brides that have "been there, done that" - granted, some of them "were there" and "did that" a year or two ago, but that doesn't make their advice and information any less valueable! if you want more current reviews, just read the date on the thread and ignore the rest! the search function also allows you to search within a timeframe.

i can't believe how over a year later i'm still learning new things.

As I started planning a trip to cabo (thanks tammy!) i did realize that there wasn't as much info about excursions in cabo as there is in the riviera maya forum (where i planned my wedding). we had an awesome groom, jason, that started a great thread about excursions in riviera maya. Then me & a bunch of other RM brides added lots of stuff. I mean, there is still a lot of info in the cabo forum, but just not as much for the topics i was looking for. or maybe it is just that the types of activities i was looking for are not in cabo.

as i plan my trip to cabo, i do plan on posting everything i can on BDW and of course details when i return.

Thank you all so much for your replies! And Tammy, I hope you didn't take offense to my comment.. it definitely wasn't my intention!! By the "way out of date" statement, I was referring to the threads that I really wanted to take part in, but were posted back in 2006, or 2007..and realizing that the original brides that posted the threads have already been married for at least a year.. I wanted to see if any of them could fill us in after-the-fact.. if they got the answers while they were there, ya know? Anyway, sorry again.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
