how many of you have actually spoken or contacted your WC? She told me we'd plan everything 2 months prior to the date. I'm just antsy I guess. And I want to have a better confirmation.

Good luck to you all.

We our giving our attendants jewelery. A necklace, earring and bracelet set for my matron of honour. I also purchased a custom jewelery bag off of ebay :) And we are planning on getting a bracelet for the bestman.

I have spoken to my WC, but I can only get one question answered at a time. If I give too many questions I don't get a response. :P But I have been told by pervious brides and my TA, not to worry about not hearing from your WC. Things will all work out, and you have a few days before the wedding to plan what you have in mind :)

I am having jewellry made for all of my bridesmaids (all 6!) and MOH. My friend makes gorgeous jewellry so i feel really good about asking her to make them and having the money go to support her. She is making barefoot sandals, necklaces, bracelets, earrings for all the girls. Im very excited! We are looking into giving the guys engraved flasks that also have a spot to hold cigars, which are pretty neat - considering we are getting married in Cuba!

I have not spoken to the resort coordinator personally. So far my TA has taken care of all of that!

Happy planning!

I am getting the MOH & BM: a spa wrap (waffle weave), cosmetic bag to match, and a canvas tote. They will all be monogrammed with their initials. I also got them flip flops just to wear whenever...I may add a pashmina, but I am not sure!

I am giving my FG a spa wrap (a more fun one) and a small bag with her name monogrammed on it...so she can feel all "adult"

I know I am all about this website, but Joy is so great! Her website doesn't even give a tenth of her options! You just tell her what you are looking for and price ranges....for larger orders she discounts things! Her prices are SO awesome...I went to other sites and her things for the same items are at least 10 + off! (ex. waffle weave cosmetic bags w/ribbon & monogram...$10...they are $22+ on other sites)

I got a great gift for the GMs! We got them travel bags (they are on the site). We are getting them in black with pistachio green monogram (1 of our colors)! My FI even wanted one...shocker! THey were $16..then we are going to fill them with their favorite stuff!

I was able to get a tote bag (canvas, with gingham inside, with a tie, & monogram ($1cool.gif), spa wrap (waffle weave with ribbon & monogram ($22)), & a cosmetic bag (waffle weave w/ribbon & monogram) for $50!!

Smarty Pants Custom Embroidery Boutique or her web email smartypantsboutique@yahoo.com

Just letting you all know! I am so excited about this...obviously!

Wow, how did it take me so long to find this thread? So happy to see there are so many April 2009 brides out there! I was just starting to wonder if I was on top of things, or if I was a major slacker...turns out I am more towards to slacker end! Or at least that's how I feel.

Here is what I have so far:

-location booked

-airfare/accommodations booked

-honeymoon booked (can't wait!!!)

-got our wedding bands

-dress ordered

-purchased groom's suit

-bridesmaid dresses ordered

-photographer booked

-dj booked

-STD sent

-website up and running

Right now I am focusing on:

-groomsmen attire

-hosting a welcome reception (trying to figure out if we even are, and where??)

-flowergirl dress

The other day I realized I hadn't done anything wedding related in a few days. I wasn't sure what I could work on, so I decided to make a random list of ALL the things that need to get done before the wedding. Almost had a panic attack... :)

Anyone have any ideas for a place to have a welcome reception? My fiance isn't sure that he wants to spend the $ on one, but I would love to have one. He mentioned that maybe we could just pay for the alcohol and people could pay for their food. But I thought that was pretty tacky...what do you guys think? Would it really be that much more to just buy their food? There would probably be about 45 people (about 35 adults, 10 kids).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
