Dinner

For a wedding group larger than 25 people, the chef needs the Bride & Groom to choose a fixed menu. This applies also for a rehearsal dinner or any other group dinner that they decided to have. We usually give 2 or 3 different options for every menu. In case someone in the group is allergic or vegetarian please advice.

The restaurants in the IB. Paraiso Lindo & Maya can not be in private. We share them with the rest of our guests of the hotel. At the IB. Paraiso Lindo & Maya Iberostar does not offer open air dinners (beach or other open air spaces). Long pants are required for gentleman. Children under 12 years old are not allowed at the Gourmet Restaurants “El Museo” or “L´etoile” at the IB. Paraiso Lindo & Maya

Special Events

Cocktails can be held only in the areas assigned for those purposes. None of the lobby bars at the IB. Paraiso Lindo & Maya hotels such as the Melody, Kukulkan or Acuario can be used as private rooms for events. The service in every bar is offered for all our guests. The rental from the Galaxy Disco is only from 8:30pm to 10:30pm upon availability.

Muchas gracias (I'm practicing) !!!

I know I came across this info before. I believe I received if in an email from the WC when I initially secured my wedding date.

Now my million dollar question is..... What does the Aqua Bar "Las Olas" or Shopping Center Square look like?

Does anyone have any pics? Any descriptions? Has anyone heard anything about these two locations?

jpitts, thanks again!!! smile03.gif I was afraid the fixed menu would limit the group to only one dinner selection (with the exception of dietery needs). I can breathe a sigh of relief now. I can work with two, of course three would be better. :-)

One less thing to worry about (& I'll probably add 5 more by the end of the day).

I think the aqua bar is the one that has the aquarium. I believe there was a picture of it on the iberostar website, but it doesn't say Aqua Bar or anything like on the picture so who knows. I don't know about the others.

I just asked about the dinner selection. We have 30 people, and selected the Steakhouse for our wedding dinner restaurant. We selected the steak dinner, but were able to request a fish dinner for FI's parents who don't eat meat on Friday, and chicken dinners for FI and I since we don't eat steak. We also requested chicken nugget dinners for the kids (we have 5 attending). The WC just said we need to have placecards and let her know who gets what dinner.

hey ladies. do you know anything about photographers? i think i read somewhere (and now i can't find it anywhere!!!) that the tucan does not allow outside photographers... this scares me! lol- i am wondering if i can see their in-house work, and what it would take to get a TTD session scheduled.

any ideas? what are your photog plans?

I'm not sure about the Tucan photographer, but here is the website for the Lindo photoshop:

Foto Caribbean - Riviera Maya

We are hiring an outside photographer (Citlalli Rico), but we have to pay a $300 fee to the resort for doing this. We initially planned on using the resort photographer due to our budget, but decided to go over budget for our pictures since that will be what we have left after the wedding day. I really like the photojournalist style photos so to me it is worth the extra money. We will be getting 6 hours on the wedding day and a 2 hour TTD shoot. We get all our digital negatives so we will be able to make photobooks for our friends and family that came to the wedding as a thank you/Christmas gift when we get back.

We are hiring the resort videographer, but I haven't seen any of their work. Have any of you seen any wedding videos?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
