I am a June 09 bride too :)

I have my trip and ceremony booked.

I have sent out my STDs...and already have 14 guests booked.

I have purchased my wedding dress and BMs dresses.

I have most of the gifts for my BMs (I am a little excited! haha).

I'm working on booking my photographer and a site for my AHR.

and...I think that is about all so far...

I am trying to wait to do stuff later, but I am just so excited :)

I hope everyone's planning is going well :)

Yay ~ I've been waiting for a June 09 Brides Thread smile123.gif

For me it's all about June 26, 2009, Akumal Bay, Riviera Maya, Mexico.

So far wedding planning has made me a bit....girl_werewolf.gif tee hee, but overall I have loved the process even though I have shit loads of stuff to do and not enough time to do it all!!

So far I have:

- Booked our wedding site and ceremony

- Booked our caterer, who also happens to be my wedding coordinator

- Established our entire appetizer, buffet and dessert menu (tasted it all too ~ delish!!!)

- Booked a compound (villa and 4 townhomes) for 30 immediate bride and groom family members during our first week there

- Bought a bunch of crap that will magically turn into DIY projects rofl.gif

- Secured a group reservation for 18 people roundtrip that must have deposits paid by Sept. 23 but I have no idea where we're spending our 2nd week yet - yikes!

- Sent out "will you be in my wedding" letters to my humongous wedding party (10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen)

- Booked Charlie and Maria who will be officiating my Mayan/Cosmic Ceremony

In the process of:

- FI is doing the finishing touches on the STD's for us to print out and mail later this week

- Completing our wedding website but I am being a lazy bum

- Looked at dresses but refuse to try any on till I lose 20 pounds fryingpan.gif

- Setting up a contract to fly out a local photographer to the wedding

- Setting up a contract to bring my fabulous stylist to Mexico for hair and makeup for me and my gals, and the moms

- Trying to decide on who to choose as my videographer

- Finding the last few gifts for my bridesmaids

- Preparing a "Will you be my Wedding Sponsor" to certain couples (a Filipino tradition)

And most importantly ~ trying to find a way to pay for this "it will be a small wedding" that has suddenly turned into an extravaganza that is costing way too much!!! censored.gif

Wow...You guys have ALOT more then me done!!

I am a June 24,2009 Bride :-)

I really just decided to have a DW, so I guess that's why I am a little behind with all the planning :-)

So far we have our date booked with our wedding package and By next weekend we will have our room booked. We started looking locally for our AHR...However...Every place I love is a little over my budget and I am actually getting a little upset over it.

Other then that.....Our STD's just went out on Friday and I have thousands of Idea's...Now I just have to get working on all of it!! :-)

Very Exciting!! :-0

I'm a June 09 Bride!!

So far we have:

*wedding location and reception booked

*dress purchased - should actually be receiving it next week!

*STDs sent out

*wedding website up

*have the room and airfare information available for people who are ready to

put their deposits down

*have reception site picked out - just need to put the deposit down

*have photographer (we're bringing one from home)

*the dresses for the bridesmaids are picked - they just need to order them (except for MOH)

Still need to:

*pick out a cake, which shouldn't be a long process as I dont care about that

*decide on centerpieces for the both receptions

*pick out a suit for FI and groomsmen (his job)

I feel like I'm leaving out a lot of stuff but that's ok. We are trying to get a lot of stuff done early so that when June comes, we can kind of just take it easy. lol We'll see how that plan goes. I'm glad someone started a thread for June brides. We can keep each other on track!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
