I am currently working with a TA and we're trying to get a date set for early June 2009. However, she has informed me about the resort not returning any of her calls or emails. Obviously we can't get any packages put together without a confirmed wedding date. Anybody have any ideas why they wouldn't respond or maybe what we can do to get their attention?

Also, I've yet to see any pictures of actual weddings happening at the Valentin. Does anyone have any or any links for some? Just looking for all the info I can find. There doesn't seem to be much out there still. Thanks.

Well we are still not getting any response from the Valentin. Not even a quick email saying "we are booked up" or anything like that. I just can't see why my TA can't get any response at all. Obviously we aren't going to book rooms without a date set. Guess I'll look elsewhere and stop wasting my time...

I recently booked my date at the Valentin, June 11. I sent an email to Guillermo, it took 2 days to respond. Then I sent another email and didn't here back very quick, so I called him. It took 2 calls to get through to him but he was very nice and helpful so we booked! I have a feeling they have not had lots and lots of weddings so they are still a little rough around the edges. After talking with him I felt very comfortable.

Hope this helps! I am very excited to be going there!!!

Do you have a direct email or phone number for Guillermo?

Hey girls!! I'm getting married at the Valentin in a couple months but it looks like you may have had more contact with Guillermo than me.. :) I have a hard time getting responses. But I will say I'm not too worried about it as we only have 20 guests so it's going to be very simple. We are almost getting there a week before our wedding also, so I hope to do some planning then.

Ok so I decided to just go ahead and try to contact the Valentin today by email. I emailed weddings@valentinimperialmaya.com.mx , which is on their wedding page. Within 20 minutes I had a reply from Guadalupe Arroyo. She mentioned to me that they were having trouble with the email system. She took down my Travel Agent's information and she told me she would give my TA a call. We'll see where it goes from here.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
