Coyaba Resort -Mobay Brides post here!

Recommended Posts

I am getting married at Coyaba resort in Montego Bay May 2009. Are there any other brides who are getting married here? I don't see much here about this resort on the forum and I wanted to get a thread going so we can share our experiences. If you have gotten married there or are in the process of planning, let's hear from you! cheer2.gif

Yeah same here, there is like zero info on the forum for this resort which is strange because I hear such good things about it. The resort looked great in the pics I have seen and it got some pretty good reviews from other brides I found on trip advisor. There is one draw back, and that is they are very pricey if you pick the all inclusive package, but I loved it so much I am hoping it won't be too much of a problem for the guests. The resort is very small 50 rooms in total. It's def not like the larger all inclusive resorts in JA. They have one wedding a day, which is another reason why I chose them. Everyone from Coyaba has been really nice and prompt with getting back to me. If you need any pricing info I can send it to you, just PM me. Trip advisor is a great resource here is the link:

Yes, it is beautiful! We found out that they don't have the date available that we've had in mind, so I am not sure what to do.

We are going down there the first weekend in October to scout this place, some private villas in Ocho Rios & a couple more in Negril. It will be a total research trip! If you want me to get any pictures or things like that, let me know!

& yes, if you could send me the pricing info that you have, that would be great!

Thanks!

Kristin

Hello - Yes I am a future Coyaba Bride. I am getting married there next July 4th 2009. I have been to Jamaica twice and Absolutely loved it. When we got engaged we knew we wanted a Destination beach wedding and Jamaica would be the perfect place. We took a trip back in May to scout out some of the Montego Bay / Negril resorts. I had my mind set on Sandals and when we arrived we were so disgusted. So glad we took the trip to look. We also looked at Moon Dance Villas, Sandals and Coyaba. We fell in love with Coyaba as soon as we arrived.

Did JoAnna from Coyaba send you the link to the Coyaba Bride page?

If you need more info please let me know I'd be happy to help you out.

Thanks Dana! Yeah Joanne sent me the link to the site. I got even more excited when I saw it! My guests are just now starting to make reservations, so I won't be able to really get started yet, but I can't wait!

Yeah i was so excited when I got the bridal page from the resort. It took me like 2 days to absorb all the info. We have about 20 guests booked so far and we expect to have 60-75 guests.

Where are you going for your honeymoon? Staying in Jamaica or flying off? We're staying at Moon Dance Cliffs in Negril. Moon Dance Resorts - Negril, Jamaica

I'm glad to hear that someone else is getting married there soon to!!! KEEP IN TOUCH!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
