Hi, MrsMCK2b

I am getting married Aug 1, 2009. I am looking for a private photographer, because my coordinator went to that hotel for one of her clients and the person there was not prepared at all, nor was the video person. She said it might be best to find someone to go with us, and then she will see what she can do about the vendor fee being that they do not have a good person. Also there are plenty of phtographers there as well, who are great so that i can avoid the travel fee as well. Now I have too many to choose from, ahhhhh. make sure to see samples of all their work first. I still can't speak to the decorator there yet. Good luck.

I am getting married at SJG on December 12, 2008. I'm almost there! I'm bringing my photographer with me. She is a very close friend of mine that I went to college with but I can send you our engagement pictures because she also did those and she is quite talented.

Have you guys started planning?

We have booked all our wedding package through a travel agent. Still waiting for the wedding package to come, but no sign as yet!! I have everything else organised in that i have my wedding dress ordered, 2 bridesmaids dresses ordered and my 15 month old daughter has a flowergirl dress also. Waiting until after Xmas to get the mens attire organised. Have wedding bands already sorted, so think thats everything. Will need to wait until we actually get to the hotel before we decide on anything else i think. Not sure as to whether you have to booke the videographer and the photographer before you get there, but we are just going to use the guys on the resort.

Have you guys got everything organised??

Send me a private message with your personal email address so I can send them to you. Thanks!

Also in regards to organized.. I'm trying. I feel like a last minute bride. We are keeping it very simple but I have received his suit, my dress is bought, my alterations appointment is scheduled, I received our sand ceremony items.. and the bridal shower and bachelorette are planned. I will post pictures soon of the items.

We got married at the SJG on 2/26/08. It was beautiful! We did the Pure Elegance package which turned out great! The pictures turned out great! They also made a DVD which was great to show the people who were unable to attend. Also, if you do a package that includes cocktails that means they also serve hors dourves which we did not know and had our dinner scheduled for 6:00pm and our wedding was at 4:30pm. Our wedding planner was Esther she did a great job you just tell her what you want and she takes care of everything.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
