Barcelo Maya Palace Brides

Hey morenaindc , I'm sorry if I might've missed it but what do you mean when you say that the grill is not available for your reception? Is it possible for someone to book so far out in advance or the grill is just not available for receptions anymore? How many grills do they have? I know of 2 - the Coral Grill and the Mariachi Grill. Neither are available?

Oh and by the way, I'm getting married at the Barcelo Colonial in May 2009. eblum999, I noticed that you're from New Jersey - me too!! What part? I'm kinda new to this forum thing and I have tons of questions about getting married in Mexico so I'm looking forward to lots of responses when I start posting more questions soon! ;-)

My WC is at a site visit in Mexico this week, and is reserving our reception spot!!!!! It's on the beach, yet has accessible rest-rooms close by for the guests. I'll post when I know exactly where it is! I'm getting sooo excited!

2009bride...the grill at the Palace (cant remember the name) is no longer avaialbel for receptions. They have converted it into one of the a la carte restaurants. Im now having my reception at the same location davematthews just mentioned

The grill at the palace no longer available for receptions?? That sux! I think you're talking about the Coral Grill. I hope they don't convert the Mariachi Grill to an a la carte restaurant as well! Davematthews16, how you describe the beach reception location is great! Would you happen to have any pics of what that area looks like?

Davematthews16, I would love more information about the reception site you are using. I didn't really think about the reception venues already being booked with other weddings the day of my wedding, Jan. 24. Let me know if you have pictures or maybe a more exact location. Thanks!

I would be more than happy to show you pictures when I get them! She will be back in town in a couple of days. The Barcelo also created a DVD of the flower options, ect. That she was going to bring back for me and make a copy. She'll also be visiting the Barcelo in September, so if anyone has any questions you are having trouble with, please let me know.

Yeah, I would love to see pics of that beach reception site. Also, does anyone have pics on what the set up looks like for the COCKTAIL HOUR on the beach? I'm getting the Ocean Scents wedding package which includes the "set up" fee for this but would like to know what is actually provided. If anyone can post pics or pm me I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
