I must say that the scale did drop for me earlier this year and hasn't gone back up, even though I wasn't doing much to keep losing or to keep it off. Now with the BBL3 here on BDW, I have lost a few lbs, but I also gained a few, so it is more like a yo-yo. Everyone keeps commenting on how I look like I lost more weight though, so I think I may have lost some more belly. LOL. Operation Hottie, I am drinking my water today since I am at work, BUT I did bring some gumdrops back over my lunch hour to munch on!!! Oops! I did give the Dr some to munch on too, so that is less for me! LOL

Hey All, hope everyone is having a great weekend! Miss you all!!

Celina, I think you should tell your dad. I am so glad you decided to get in touch. It is obvious it has been something you have wanted to do. Your dad should just be happy for you. I totally would tell him!

No wedding stuff this weekend, I have to go shopping tomorrow for a suit because......I HAVE AN INTERVIEW on tuesday!!! I passed the phone interview and the profile assessment now it is an in person interview for a travel agency. So things are turning up! Thanks for being so wonderful!

I have worn the Assets brand before, but only the ones that are like spandex shorts and hated them! THe top kept rolling down. I saw some one piece ones that I want to try, and there is one by that Dr. 90210 guy that looks like it would help me out. I might go shopping with my friend today and look for them since I have my first dress fitting on Thursday.

I'm in the same boat. I plan on really sticking to my diet and exercising as much as I can from now until the wedding. I'm sure any extra activity and healthy eating will show some weight loss. I really want to focus on cardio and arm work since I'm hoping that will make the most impact and I want my arms to be as toned as possible since that will be what shows the most on my wedding day.

Mike and I did the City Chase Challenge in Chicago yesterday and that event just showed how out of shape I really am. Neither of us had done the event before, but we managed to complete 4 challenges. I was kind of disappointed since we needed to finish 10 so we didn't make it half way, but we chickened out of two events and the last one we found they weren't taking anymore participants. The two we chickened out on was the Semper FI which was like a boot camp. You had to do 5 pull ups - I can't even do one!- and while one of you does that the other has to do mountain climbers until you finish (mind you this is all in the sand!). I can't remember all the things, but they threw a rifle at you and you had to run out in the water, and then come back and do the army crawl holding the rifle in the sand. And I think the last part was you each had to drag your partner for a certain distance in the sand. I have a big FI so that would have been tough. WHile you are doing all these things they are in your face yelling at you. No thanks! The other one was at Lucky Strike bowing alley where I guess you bowled until you got a strike, but for every turn you didn't get one you had to remove an article of clothing! NOw I can barely stand to see myself naked and didn't want to do BD pics for Mike so there was no way in hell I was playing naked bowling in front of a room full of strangers. The crappy part was it took us so long to get to these places that we wasted so much time and then we didn't do the events. We ended up walking everywhere because some of the buses weren't running or we just didn't know which ones to take. I swear we must have walked over 10 miles. I literally have blisters on both my heels and every toe on my feet. My legs hurt so bad as well as the rest of my body. We finally gave up the running to and from the events and just walked. We knew we weren't going to win so we just had fun with it. Plus it was so hot and humid that we didn't want to overdo it.

I'm the same way. I reward myself for losing weight with food which pretty much defeats the purpose.

OMG Michelle - I am the same way! I put on a tank yesterday and about passed out! My arms have grown wings! HELL NO - I am starting the workout ball and some arm weights ASAP!

The City Chase Challenge sounds fun - but I'm with you.. No pull ups, running through the mud, or strip bowling haha!

We had friends overlast night and I feel like I have a slight hangover. We had a good time - except for the mosquitoes. Maybe I'm just tired. I went all day yesterday. I was up at 5am doing laundry, cleaning and cooking. I had to get the postage for my invites so I could get them out tomorrow. Actually, I can just send them out today if I run to the Post Off. We cleaned our carpets and they look fab! I love them.

I was up at 6am to come in to work today. UGH!

I really want a life change. I don't just want to diet for the wedding, i want it to be part of my every day life, eating healthy and tell myself NO.
I agree, I want it to be a lifestyle change also...what kills me is that I used to weight 50-60 lbs lighter before I got my pregnant with my daughter...I was in good shape. I just really let myself go after the pregnancy and never made a true effort to lose the weight. So I want to prove to myself that i can get that body back and keep it!! so frustrating.

Hey girls! How was everyone's weekend? I had to go to a bday party on Saturday and ate like a pig of course. And as if that wasn't bad enough, i ate a leftover piece of bday cake on Sunday too. oink oink! So i'm starting over today, for like the 20th time. lol But i know that i really have to buckle down and exercise as much as possible and keep cheating to a minimum like just parties.

Celina, im really proud of you for calling your nephew and your step sister. I agree with everyone else about telling your dad. Maybe he would want to reach out to them too if he sees how good it made you feel.

Steph goodluck with your interview. That's awesome!

Hi Girls! I didn't make it to the post office, but the guys here offered to go to the post office in the airport terminal to drop off my invites. The city of Denver is in DNC mode. We have an abundance of guys on duty this week. The frenzy is kind of cool - I just hope all goes well.

I have been trying to find some fabric to make table runners. I only want to make like 6 of them.

My custom M&M's should be in today. I'm with you Danielle - back on the wagon for the 25th time!

I am back from camping now!! It was a good week, but the last few days I had to get up early and come back to town so I could work. Friday was insain at work, but Sat & Sun were nice. Now I am on evenings today and tomorrow.

My Mom had to make another wedding cake earlier in the week, so she brought all the left over fondant out to the campground, and we made fondant seashells for the wedding cake in the Dominican. They turned out pretty good, and yes I took pics, but they are on my Mom's camera so I will get them from her later.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
