Congratulations to everyone getting married at this resort!!! Our wedding is April 22nd, 2009. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of ideas for a reception/gathering for the guests after the wedding. We didn't want to go with a private gathering as it would be expensive (we have 64 booked so far!!). So, if you have any ideas I would love to hear them.

Hi ladies...future edenh brides..I´m at the edenh as we speak. We got here yesterday. We are in love with the hotel. Its beautiful and the staff has been sooooooooooooo great. Today Im meeting with the wedding cordinator Elizabeth. Ill post more details about that later. smile36.gif

Yesterday they had a small beach wedding and it was cute. I started crying thinking THATs going to be me in 2 months. WOW

The wedding was for 30 people and they had their reception in one of the restaurants, it had a sign private event. i have 89 people confirmed and I cant imagine having that many people in one of the restaurants, so we are doing a private reception.

FYI, every Friday night they have a beach party. OMG...it was great. Im going to have a rehearsal dinner for my actual wedding party but after, Im going to meet everyone at the beach party. Buffet style setup, bbq, and even a pig. They have music, activities for the kids. ITs perfect. It rained for like 10mins, the music stopped, everyone went under cover, then when it cleared, you hear the music play and everyone comes back out like nothing happened. This place is amazing. We over did it with the drinks last night and ended up at the club, The Tantra Bar, great music btw, we danced like fools and crawled back to our room by 11p. We woke up at 6am alittle hungover and went straight to the buffet. Great food.

One thing, I do recommend everyone upgrade to the Paradise Club wristbands. We did, for 40 bucks a night per person. We get access to the private pools and premium drinks with them. (As a courtesy they upgraded our room too, which should of been 90 bucks more per person per night) Free internet for those with the pink wristbands, so here I am writing to you all how excited I am about the Edenh. Im so glad I came out here. This isnt even a full review. Wait til I get back! lol

Im taking TONS of pics so as soon as I get back, Ill post them. For now, all those pics on webshots, do this place no justice.

Did i tell you all Im soooooooo excited?

I am and you should be too....cheer2.gif

ok...quick...I spoke to the onsite wedding coordinator, elizabeth. Shes a pleasure to work with. Very detailed. She has been here only 15 days. I did ask her what was up with the changing of the girls, she said she is giving me her word she will be around atleast for my wedding. lol She really has no plans on leaving.

Speaking of change, I changed my plans, Im going to get married in the Plaza, its the pics youve seen with the huge brown balls (lol) and its all tiled with palm trees... around and fountains, and then have my reception in the Italian restaurant since they cant give me a ballroom due to scheduled shows. I was a bit worried but when i walked into the restaurant, and saw Mocha and Teal decor, I was in love...again. Actually Im excited since it will be a private even. Which when they mean private, its private. Security guard and signs.

I have much more to tell but Its time to have some drinks, play in the casino then maybe be sober enough to dance like fools til 3am at the Tantra Bar.

My opinion still remains the same, this place is great. It gets better by the day. Thanks girls. Ill keep you posted if anything else exciting to report about happensthewave.gif.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
