I know!

You all will never believe what I'm gong to do!...buy a different wedding dress! I kept having second thoughts about mine, and although it is absolutely gorgeous, it just isn't really what I had in mind. I wanted strapless, simple but elegant. I went to the place where I bought mine and found one that I love. They can't let me bring it back for store credit cause I had it made shorter than usual so I could walk barefoot, but they are going to let me have it for cheaper than they are asking...it was only $299 any way but said I could have it for $199. I guess I will try to sell my dress on the forum or on eBay. The dress fits perfect and I can get the one in the store, so the only alteration will be to hem it cause it is too long even with heels. I can't believe I'm getting a new dress a month & 1/2 before the wedding!!!

OMG Girlie! Your brave. I'm glad you got one you really love. Hey want is the name of the store? I got mine online, but the had a store where you live. I was going to drive down to get it but with gas prices just had it shipped. What was the name of the dress?

Omg, i thought I was the only one!

You got a much better deal though.

I found NEW dress 2 weeks ago but they didn't have my size. Now I have to wait until the first week of October to get my dress and have it made shorter. They said it'll be ready by October 10. Yeah, I'm freaking out! That's cutting it close.

I'll be selling my original dress on ebay too.

Hi Ladies!

I've been kind of lurking on this thread for a while now. I am actually kind of an October bride. Our legal day is October 31st and our Mexico day is November 8th!

October is right around the corner! You guys are on the ball!

I wanted to chime in on your watch dilema...FI bought his GM's Stuhrling (sp?) watches on Overstock for very reasonable prices - like $100-$150. They are VERY nice. They came in a great box with all the paperwork and everything. I am actually going to go on Overstock and buy him a watch as a gift as well

Good luck!

His sisters dont have any ideas, and his best freind doesnt know. I am completly freaking out over this. Any one have any ideas?

I bought my FI an awesome Fedora hat that matches his suit but I don't think it is enough. We agree we would not spend alot of money but I am looking for something small to give him too. He keeps threatening me with some electronic equipment like a new phone. I told him that it should be something that won't die in a year.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
