Gracias to everyone for the well wishes! There will be plenty of pictures and a trip report when we get home. Today is the big day and Saturday all of our guests leave. Then we get an entire week just for us! Woo Hoo!! it is a good thing that we have a beautiful room and a beautiful view because I have a feeling we will be spending more time in our room after our guest leave!

Hi Girls, just out of curiosity- how many of you are getting married on the beach and how many are going to get married at the Gazebo? Micaela sent me photos of both and I really like the arch on the beach, but it really needs something (decoration wise)... not sure what, but I love the idea of a barefoot ceremony!

Congrats! I feel like I need more time to plan and get things organized... I don't really have any details worked out... I keep seeing so many ideas I like that I can't settle on one.

Right now I'm debating with having the reception on the beach or in the garden. I've seen pictures of the Royal at night, and it looks stunning. Plus it will be less windy in the garden, and a bit less messy without all the sand.

I just don't like the fact that the beach chairs and loungers will be so close to our dinner set up....

I've seen gorgeous pics with overhanging paper lanterns and lights and I would love to do something like that, I'm just not sure if it will be possible.

Ok since I'm not sure how to post pics, here's a link to my blog with pics of what I would love to have:

I wish the Royal had some trees in the garden, that would be perfect... but since they don't there has to be another way to achieve this look..

Hello!

We'll be getting married on the beach and paying to have a decorated Chuppa. The sand under our toes...I think it is going to be gorgeous...

That is really gorgeous! I'm still waiting to hear back from Micaela about whether or not the hotel can provide us with some tiki torches or strung lights for a reception on the beach. We're having a big AHR when we get back, so we're opting for the beach...simply for...something completely different (not that the garden wouldn't be different also, but the beach is really what its all about for us)...

I LOVE your ideas...I hope they are able to work something out for you to capture that beauty.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
