:) This is so exciting. I feel like there is so much to do, and May will be here before I know it. What time is your ceremony? Currently, mine is scheduled for 5:30. 1/2 for ceremony, 1 hour of cocktail party with dinner to begin at 7. Is that too late?

  • What photographer are you using?
  • Do you have a 2009 menu and amenities list? I emailed Daniela, but anxious to see what's available!
  • Finally, last question for today. Are you using a travel agent?

This so much fun yet a little scary to be planning everything so far in advance and from so far away! I love hearing about everyone's weddings!

Okay, now time for me to contribute something! Save the Date Boarding Pass cards. The template is from Aylee Designs, the palm tree from google, msg from a sample card, and I made the turtle graphic myself! Let me know if you want me to email it to you. I never seem to have enough points to open attachments, so I understand!

Fanny- I totally know what you mean about time flying by... I'm sure it will but I really don't want to rush it because I have a very important year of school ahead of me and if I think of what's in between now and the wedding I get totally freaked out cause it involves many hours of internship and a thesis (which I don't yet have a topic for). That's another story...

I think my ceremony is tentatively scheduled for 6:00. We want it right before sunset so we are going to check on the sunset times for the area closer to our date. We also are having a cocktail hour and then dinner following that.

Our photographer is Matt Adcock from Del Sol Photography.

I know that I don't have the '09 menus on my computer cause I couldn't find them for Kelly but amenities I think I might. I got a hard copy of eveything when I went down for a site visit so that's why I don't know where anything is. Anyway... if I do find the stuff I will scan and post. I was just going by the '08 stuff (which are posted somewhere in this thread) and know that the prices will be slightly higher.

- yeah I'm a little freaked at planning from far away and whatnot but one of the reasons for us choosing to do it this way is that we are pretty laidback people and while I want to plan- I also sort of just wanna show up. KWIM?

Yamille, I didn't know you had Matt. I have Sol. I'm so excited!

Fanny, Michele emailed me the menu options she had. If you pm me your email address I'd be happy to send them to you.

Just wondering what days were available in June at the Paradisus...Please let me know. Thanks
We wouldn't know that information. You need to contact the paradisus directly and speak to the wedding coordinators. I do know that Fanny said that all the weekends in May '09 are taken. They do one wedding per day. Paradisus

Congrats Fanny on picking a date!

Sorry I have been so delinquent on my own thread - we just bought a house and have been out of the province for the week on vacation!

I cannot believe that my wedding is just over 3 months away - YIKERS!

We are bringing our photographer with us - Visual Cravings! They are a member of BDW forum as well...

Heading down for a site visit in three weeks if anyone has any burning issues - going to do a food tasting, pick linens, flowers etc. and do a hair trial! Cannot wait!

Hey Missy, I'm def. interested in hearing about how your hail trial goes (and would love pics of course lol). Also, FI and I have decided to forgo a dj and just use our ipod with ipod dock. We are having our reception on the deck. IDK if its even possible, but could you get an idea of what the noise level is like in that area (I'm thinking wind and waves etc) to see if what we are thinking will work. I'm afraid the speakers may not be loud enough, but right now we have only 20 people and don't want to spend $ on a dj. So, if there's any info you would have, that'd be great. TIA

Congrats again on the house! So exciting. :)

Missy 3 months-woohoo. You must be getting so excited! I'm jealous that you are going on another site visit. fun!

Kelly- when I was there in June Fi and I were trying to get an idea on the speakers as well during a small- 15 ish ppl reception on the terrace and basically the speakers were fine. I mean they didn't have a large loud group and you could hear the surf but it wasn't overwhelming. We are thinking if we have under 40 ppl we will do the ipod. It's an ongoing discussion because I don't want to deal with having to make a playlist but at the same time I think the DJ is a ripoff considering there have been no good reviews and he doesn't even announce anything (MC). I still have a while to decide I guess....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
