That is the cutest thing I ever heard!!! What a great story to tell people! AWWWW!

Oh .. I believe I'm at another extreme. Marco and I dated for only 2 weeks before he proposed to me!!

We met 8 years ago in uni when we were both exchange students in Canada (2 semesters for me and 1 semester for him). We were very good friends but we never dated back then. That year, I went down to Mexico for summer school and his family hosted me for 3 months. After I returned home, we kept in touch through emails on and off, and then we lost contact. About a year ago, we re-connected through facebook and felt like old friends as always. Everything just sparkled off when I visited him in Mexico (as a tag-on trip to Cuba) during last Easter.

With many romantic / magical moments, he surprised me with a promise ring 2 days after we went out, and an engagement ring the night before I left!! I still feel overwhelmed by the whole thing... now I believe that there's "the one" out there for everybody. Distance and time don't seem to matter - at the right moment, things will naturally fall into place. And I call it destiny. =)

Greg and I were friends first for a year and a half before we admitted our feelings for each other and became 'exclusive'; 10 months later he proposed. We will wed about 2 weeks before our 2 year anniversary.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
