Blue Bride Needs Help with flower scheme

Recommended Posts

Hello! I picked teal/ocean blue for my BM dresses and now not sure what to do for centerpieces, etc. Here's the other part: I don't want to bring them all down with me with the new bagagge rules, etc. I was thinking I could make menus, placecards and bring those. I am pretty sure I can get ahold of blue napkins... but what to do about centerpieces? What would be a cool color scheme?

Thank you for any suggestions! cheer2.gif

I'm just getting centerpieces done by the resort. I haven't gave it much thought yet. I think they do one centerpieces with a tall vase filled with blue colored water and floating flowers on top. Would your venue be able to make you up something. I'm also going to bring the placecards and menus with me to add my colors.

Depending on the blue you could always do an orange or yellow...something that contrasts. Or you could possibly do a coral. I found these fabric prints and added it to my inspiration file b/c I am using blue as well.

If you wanted to do a more subtle color then a pale pink or yellow is always pretty. You can find flowers in all of these colors pretty easily for the centerpieces.

That's what I was kind of thinking too....

This is one of the BM Dresses, in teal:

Maybe these flowers with orange added for the bouquets:

those are really pretty. I was thinking of pink and orange roses and no green filler.

I was stuck on the same thing. I think I am going to do Navy Blue and for the flowers just keep it classic with white and maybe a touch of green. For the tables I was going to make some blue runners for the tables... but after logically thinking about it, I think that is going to be too bulky and heavy to take down there. Now I think I am going to just do blue squares of fabric under the hurricane candle holder the resort provides and scatter rose petals and shells.. that is the plan for now.. but this forum is always so full of great ideas, so we shall see :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
