I am SO excited, we just got an invite in the mail a few days ago from a friend getting married in Phoenix! The wedding is September 19, so we are going to fly down for 2 days. We are staying at the Sheraton Crescent, looks nice!

Anyone have any good ideas of Must-Do things in town when you only have a few hours to spare?

Any Phoenix girls up for a BDW breakfast get-together on Sunday September 20??

well I live in Phoenix, but it's my first summer so I can't tell you what September will be like! But I can tell you that we just had a heat advisory because it was going to be 114. I've never seen 114 before, it's HOT!

Jamie, I wouldn't come here to escape the heat!

where's the wedding at?

Oh, I LOVE Phoenix and luckily you won't be there in July when I was ... OMG it was hot, but its so cool with all the little water spritzers everywhere.

We stayed at the Buttes in Tempe and it was AMAZING!!! We had a fabulous time in downtown Tempe. I can't recall all the things we did and places we went, but you will love it!!!

hmmm, i just looked up your hotel. I live on the opposite end of the city, so I don't really know what to do in that area.

However, there are SOOOOOOO many great restaurants in Scottsdale. What kind of food do you guys like?

My fav thing in AZ so far is Sedona. If you have time I'd definitely head up there and to the Pink Jeep Tour - Broken Arrow trail. It's amazingly beautiful. When there I found out they do weddings up on the rocks with this AMAZING view of the mountains and OMG it was so beautiful, I wanted to have my wedding there.

Let me tell ya...it's like being on the surface of the sun here until mid to late October! yup.....last year I was still in shorts and tank tops sweating at halloween....uh huh!

I'm not sure exactly where your hotel is...things to do...hmmm...someplace air conditioned..if it was the cooler season I would def. recommend a hike, but seriously it will still be 110ish out here. Phoenix is def. known for it's shopping if your interested...there is fashion square and the biltmore. Oh yeah..and there is this place called LAST CHANCE that is basically Nordstroms discount...I've gotten lots of INCREDIBLE deals!

If your interested in restaurants let me know where your hotel is located!

With only a couple hours maybe go shopping, or out to eat. The Fashion Square mall in Scottsdale is nice and there is a really good breakfast place down the street called The Breakfast Club. They have the best iced coffees. You're not the only one that gets excited about AZ so don't feel bad. FI and I are moving there early next year. It is hot in the summer, but the heat doesn't bother me. FI and I were the only people in the pool at our hotel when it was 112. Ha ha!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
