I'm starting to gather info for my welcome packets, there more a What You Need to Know Before You Go packet since i'm handing them out ahead of time.
I haven't really been too stressed either. I feel like I have gotten a lot of things accomplished over the past couple of weeks. I'm just glad we have two more weeks to go before the RSVPs are due so I'm hoping we'll get the rest of them soon and can finish getting the rest of the stuff done. We're still missing 36 so I sent an email to my TA yesterday since she offered awhile ago to send out a reminder to anyone who hadn't responded. Hopefully, that will do the trick.

Does anyone know what your ceremony is going to be like? Maybe I'll do a search on here. I have no clue what to put in our programs!

there was a thread started by twinkletoes yesterday about the ceremony order. it had some good tips in it.

for our programs we are just putting the names of our parents, bridal party, witnesses, and translator (if we have a family member do it). Oh and a small thank you for everyone that came. That's it.

We got our marriage licence awhile ago and we are having our legal day next friday!!!!! I better find a present for my sister too, since it is our birthday that day too. My baby sister will be 17...I remember her being a little baby so clearly!

If that time flies that quickly, our weddings will be here in what will only seem like a sneeze!

Erica and Stephanie are you guys keeping your legal ceremonies secret or telling people?

So i sold the turqoise raffia fans since the color didn't match as good as i thought it would and ordered new bamboo ones yesterday. They came today, so fast. I love them.

Here's what they look like:

I ordered them from favorsandflowers.com Great site!

Oh and i finally ordered Derek's shirt for the wedding and the last gm shirt from weddingtropics.com so glad that's done. And my dad is finally going to meet me tomorrow to get fitted for his pants. I might try to help my mom look for a dress 2morrow too. I'm taking the day off work so i might as well do something productive. I just keep putting off cleaning my house haha.

Funny.. the closer it gets the less stressed I'm getting too!! Just more excited for the wedding to FINALLY get here.. haha

I don't think I'm going to do programs or anything like that.. our guest list will probably be small enough that most everyone knows each other already.. heh

We were going to keep it quiet, but decided not to keep it secret in the end. Everyone is fine with it, and the few that have given us a bit of a look, I tell them that only our MOH and BM are going to be there and that my Mom isn't even going to be there and she is fine with that. Then they are completely fine with it. We also tell them that even though we are doing the legal thing here, we aren't exchanging rings and our 'wedding' will be down in the Dominican.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
