I finally found her contact info! She usually works with Kristin at thedazzlingdetails.com but I got her info from this knottie.

I'm not sure if I like her packages but I'm going to try and see if she'll work with me.

There are not many photogs I like in PV but I do like her pics.

I like her photos and her prices aren't that bad. I don't understand why at my resort (Riu) I only have 1 choie of photographer who can't spend more than 2 hours with me? I'm so confused and frusterated. I am trying to think of ways to smuggle in a professional photog... any ideas?

To all brides to be,

We just returned from our magical wedding in Puerto Vallarta. We used Kristin and Michelle from The Dazzling Details, and it more than we could ever imagined. Their name holds truth, in that all the details were.. "Dazzling". Everything was amazing.. then we got out "professional picture" dun, dun, dun.... They are such a dissappointment!!!!!!!!! We advise anyone who is considering Paulina Ulloa to find someone else. My husband and I aren't big "posers", but the whole time we had our pictures... the translator would said.. "do whatever you want".. and "act natural". WTF?? We were not told once how to stand, nor did she give us any direction. I paid for a professional because I thought that is what they do.. pose us "professionally". Our group pictures are juat aweful, our ceremony pictures "amaturish", and our dinner/reception.. well let's just say we are using friends and families' pictures to put in our wedding album. Before you drop a grand on pictures.. I would look elsewhere. I would absolutely recommend the dazzling details, but invest in someone other than Paulina for your "professional" photographs.

I'm so sorry you didn't like your pictures!!! All the photos on my gallery were taken by Pau and she also, over the years, has taken some of me and other brides I've worked with and she's always done a great job. I've also seen photographs she's done of other weddings (bride and groom, family and guests) and they've turned out really amazing. I feel so bad for you that you had such a bad experience with her! I will definitely make a comment to her (without mentioning you directly!!) about what you said so that she can see what she can do to improve her communication with brides.

Something else ... I know this DOES NOT excuse the fact that you didn't have a good time with your photographer and that you are unhappy with your pictures!! - but a few days before your wedding, someone broke into her apartment when she was sleeping and stole all of her camera equipment, her laptop, her keys and her purse (wallet, id, credit cards, etc.). The camera she was using for your wedding was a borrowed camera, as she had to order a new one and it hadn't come in yet. So, it is possible that the experience she had only a few day's earlier, plus using a borrowed camera, really didn't make for the greatest combination.

I searched high and low for a photographer and found J. Colginadro he is going to do 4 days of coverage for my wedding all day and night, well pretty much. The cost was only a little more than Elizabeth Medina, Paulina Ulloa and a few others in the PV area. I felt I didn't know what days and hours would capture the moment and he does amazing work. He did the photo in my signature. He is amazing and does PV weddings though he is based out of Houston.

Thanks

Kathy

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
