I used the floral centerpiece that they provided, but then brough additional centerpieces. (I did the long table setup)

I also brought a few other things, shells, starfish, etc... If you wanted to use fake flowers, they wouldn't have a problem with you bringing your own. I don't know about buying them off property though and bringing them in, I'm not sure what their rule is with that.

I requested for a 2 layer cake.
It was $5 per person above the 20 pp that the Ultimate Package includes.
I got the strawberry cake (vanilla cake) and I thought it was pretty good. Not bad at all, but definitely not the best.

Remember to request to have the cake served to everyone and not just those who are sitting down. We had so much leftover cake since they did not serve anyone who weren't sitting on their table. Of course, most people are dancing and hanging outside since it was too hot on the lobby.

Thanks for your comments about the beach side setting reception. I think it would be so comfortable to be on the beach for the reception. My only concern is the darknesshuh.gif

If anyone else has had their reception on the beach at Dreams Cancun please let me know. I would love to hear all about it. What you liked and maybe what you would have done differently.

Thanks everyone!

Remeber, they sell "Under Table Lighting" for I think 25 bucks each table. Based on some pictures I have seen, the lights are relatively bright and it shouldnt be too dark during dinner.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
