The tanks turned out really cute! I would have no patience to do iron ons. I tried doing it once and totally f-ed it up so I vowed never to do it again!

I got my wedding jewelry, but not sure if I like the earrings. As soon as I can take a picture I will post for your thoughts. I also ordered bubbles for the ceremony, guestbook, flower girl and ring bearer books to go with their gifts, snorkel, mask and fin sets for the ring bearers (still trying to think of what else to get them), and I bought pants for my brother (one of the ring bearers) and ordered 2 shirts from Gap kids. I ordered 2 since I wasn't sure if he will grow before the wedding so I got one in his current size and one a size larger. They only had the pants in his current size so I hope there won't be an issue with those. They are pants, but have that loop where you can roll them up and turn them into long shorts. I figured if he gets taller and the pants are too short he can just leave them rolled up. They were $5 on clearance at Children's Place. The shirts were $9.99 each. Here is the link to the shirt: Shop clothes for women, men, maternity, baby, and kids at gap.com. | Gap

I made my appointment for my first dress fitting for the end of August. I sent an email to a local DJ to find out the cost to put together an MP3 file of our reception music. We were having a hard time narrowing down the songs we want and some of the ones we picked are pretty long. I know a couple other brides on the board had this done so they could shorten songs and have it play continuously. I haven't heard back yet so we'll see what happens. Other than that I still need to go buy the materials to make our programs (haven't decided what style I'm going with yet), menus, and tags for our OOT bags and favors (if we have them) and placecards. I have some time for that though. I also need to get more ribbon to put on the shells for the ring bearers. I can't think of what else I have left to do at the moment, but I know there is more. I feel like my list keeps growing every day!

I got them at JoAnn fabrics. I bought the Alphabet packs (2 of each letter) and then just cut them out, and laid a ruller across the shirt and arranged the letters. The packs were 9.99/pack for silver and 6.99 for pink.

if you are going to buy them, you should go soon, they have coupons for 40% off craft items.

Well lady, I haven't been posting on this thread much because you guys are all doing so good I feel like a slacker. I finally got FI to go look for his outfit and the groomsmen. We got the guys some linen drawstring pants at JCPenney's for $68 for 4 pair!! Pretty good. Now we just have to see how they fit. Also got FI a jacket. Still need to find a nice white shirt to go under. Also found these lt tan palmtreets imprinted shirts for the guys but not sure if it's too much tan. I think we really need to find white shirts for them too..what do you thinK?? The pants are darker.

Wow you found an awesome deal on those pants!!! Without seeing a pic the shirts do sound like a little too much tan. How about a colored shirt so your FI sticks out as the groom in white?

Tara - the tanks are cute, cute cute!! I love them and the color! I had the hardest time finding aqua tanks so I went with black. Yours are cute. I am needing to go to JoeAnn's soon. I need one more bridesmaid iron on.

Michelle - you've been busy! Great ideas for the RB & FG. What about getting them their own little disposable cameras, a coloring book and crayons, maybe a hand held game?

Amy - Great deal on the pants! $16.25 per pair is awesome!

WELL CHICKIES...We got our bands on Friday!! YAY!! smile159.gif

I must say though that I am not too happy with the fact that they don't match!! FI hated gold and unfortunately he bought me a gold e-ring so nothing he looked at that was gold made him remotely happy. The thing is, I told him many moons ago - before he asked me to marry him, that if we got married I wanted silver or white gold...did he listen? NO. SO NOW - both of my rings are gold and his is tungsten. My ring is getting sized so I won't have it for a couple of weeks. I did poll 4 of my friends who are recently married (within the past 4 years) and NONE of their rings match. WHY?? Hubbies have all lost their rings and had to buy new ones! LOL!!

oops...I accidentally hit the post button and wasn't done! My bad!

My dad & SMOM came over yesterday and my dad took on the task of making luminaries for the reception. He brought his outfit over and it is nice, but now he said he needs a new shirt. His wife said she now needs to buy a different dress too to match in our color scheme. (YAY - I don't want her sticking out) She also took my daughters dress so she can add teal tulle to the underskirt of her dress.

OH - if anyone hasn't found their groomsman shirts - GO TO DILLARDS! They had some great shirts on sale in the Roundtree & York Carribean collection. All were on sale for $35 and under.

FI doesn't want to go with the custom shirts because he thinks they are too expensive, so now the hunt is on for a new shirt for the groomsmen. I swear - I could strangle him! pokestick.gif We have one guy who wears a 3-4XL and the others are all Large or XL, so trying to find something that matches has been a task!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
