Hello,

 

Last December I visited a sweet little chapel and fell in love with it because of its rustic beauty, but I'm having trouble finding anyone that has married there. The pics online are beautiful, but limited. I have a date on hold with them but if anyone has gotten married there or plan on getting married in the coming months and can share the following I would greatly appreciate it.

 

How did/are you getting your guests to/from ceremony site?

Did the church bells affect your ceremony?

Do they provide extra seating or decorations?

How are you decorating the church?

Where did you take your post ceremony pics?

Hi Kisa,

 

I'm marrying there in October, though I don't that I'm of much help to you as my FI and I are eloping. I'm working with a planner based in California and she is the one recommend the location to me. It's such beautiful location and the chapel is stunning. My wedding is in October, which is kind of late for you but I'll be sure to post picks and PM you when we return. Good luck!

Oooh that is my favorite place in PV. I loved having brunch there. We wanted to have my brunch there after the wedding (i'm a LC bride) but they couldnt accomodate my guests and theirs. I cant wait to hear more details!

 

Are you staying there? That was the most beautiful place! So jealous!

We are staying there for about five days, our wedding is there as well. And, then 5 days at Verana. I'm really looking forward to it. I've heard awesome things about it!

Hi Kisa!

 

I am not of much help either, but I thought I might try. . .Ive stayed there once and it is pretty amazing. The bells ring often, but I really dont think it will affect your ceremony, in fact, it probably adds to the magic of it all!

Hi Kisa,

 

My boyfriend and I really want to get married at Hacienda San Angel. We're going to PV tomorrow for our scouting trip and we're staying at the Hacienda. We're meeting with the owner to discuss wedding details so I'll fill you in on everything when I get back.

Quick, but hopefully helpful note -- I got married in PV in May (at Le Kliff Restaurant with events and guest accommodations at private villas). We stayed at Hacienda San Angel on one of our scouting trips in order to check it out for potential guest accommodations. Although the hotel itself is both beautiful and charming, we had a surprisingly negative experience with the owner (who was unexpectedly abrasive and actually insulting; treatment you do not expect at that level of hotel and price point!) We later were advised by local acquaintances and vendors that the owner is quite unpopular in the local community and a challenging employer and that run-ins with her are quite common. Needless to say, we did not recommend the hotel for accommodations for our wedding guests. Interestingly enough, we only later ran across some reviews of the hotel on popular travel sites like Fodors, Trip Advisor and Yahoo travel in which a bride relays a nightmare experience with the owner that culminated in her wedding being cancelled, deposit forfeited and legal wranglings. I was not surprised to read the story given how offended we were by the owner of the hotel. You may want to contact the couple who wrote the reviews on those travel site for insight about wedding experience and possibly how you can avoid similar problems . . . . Good luck!

I wish this wasn't true since I'm getting married there. I have heard that the owner can be quite a handful, but am fortunate in the fact that my wedding planner has a professional and personal relationship with my wedding planner, so I think everything should go smoothly. It's an unfortunate thing because it's such a beautiful location.

Hello!

 

I'm thinking of having a small, intimate ceremony at HSA followed by a dinner there.

 

I would love to here if the owner has been helpful to those that are planning there before I book.

 

Did she give you any discount on the site fee?

 

I really didn't want a big wedding, was just going to elope and have a big after party with friends at a villa in vallarta. But, now we might have a small ceremony and dinner at HSA.

 

I just don't want it to spiral out of control or have to deal with a million details. But, if HSA is helpful in getting flowers, music, cake, photographer and can help with details, then I'm happy :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
