Just about all of the resorts have great websites that you can look at. Just go to yahoo or google and type in whatever resort you are looking for. Im guessing all of them, or at least the ones you would want to have a wedding at, have a Wedding/Anniversary/Honeymoon section on their site which list prices. Most of them also have a section that you can "Book your Trip." Just type in the dates you want to go, select a flight, and see how much it costs. Im guessing the average DW and homeymoon (if you stay at the same resort for both) cost $7000-$10000 USD. Of course it could be a lot cheaper than that depending on how long you stay, how many people comoe to the wedding, etc. Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong.

Arrrr!!! OK, Gaby finally got back to me in reference to an updated price list for everything. However, she sent it in .xls (Microsoft Excel) format. Of course I dont have excel. I tried downloading the free trial, and of course it wont let me do that either. Any ideas?? Does anyone have an updated price list that is not in .xls format?

can you use a different computer that has excel and open it there?

If your computer has spreadsheet (I think thats what its called) its like the version of excel that comes with some computers, you can use that program to open the file usually, sometimes the formatting will be a little messed up but at least you can read it.

I got it!!! Thanks all!!! And just about everything she sent me I have previously found on the website!!! Hahaha...well, maybe I should be more clear with her next time. Dreams should have a wedding packet that they could send to us that details EVERYTHING from rooms to DJ's to the price of decor. But they dont of course, so until then, Ill keep hoping for the best. Hahaha

FYI..August/September is peak hurricane season for the Caribbean and Gulf Of Mexico. Honestly, there is no way to predict weather. We all just have to hope for the best. I DEFINITELY recommend purchasing Travel Insurance during those months. I purchased it and mine is in June 2009. Good Luck!

oh yes, travel insurance is a must for this trip. I've heard it's not a bad idea to purchase wedding insurance as well... has anyone heard of this or done this?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
