i had photos from our civil ceremony printed at target earlier this week, and i was not happy with the quality because apparently on their machines there is some auto resize/crop option that is the default, and if you dont know to change it to turn the default off, people's heads will get cut off in a lot of photos like mine did. i am so ticked, that i am going back to target to ask for a refund. when i looked at the photos after getting them back on monday, over half of them had bad cropping issues. and its not like the people who work at target's photo dept are especially knowledgable about photo printing IMHO. when i get photos printed from the wedding next month, i'll probably get them from mpix.com. it's slightly more expensive, but worth it.

Sam's has a very good photo center. You can upload the pics and pick them up 2 days later. It's like film service used to be. They are very high quality and the price is great.

I have some personal moral objections to Sam's and Walmart so I really try not to shop there.

I've had good luck at Target at the little Kodak machine that you control.

I usually order direct from Kodakgallery.com or dotphoto.com

I don't know if that helps at all LOL

I'll admit I'm a photo snob, and won't go to Walmart or the Kodak photomachines. I want good quality when I get my pictures printed out. There is a company here in Canada (not sure if it's available in the States, pretty sure it's not) called Black's, and they are who I go to. They have a website (like Walmart) you can upload to, then you just decide what store you want to pick them up at, or have them sent to your home. I worked at a Black's for two years and reprinted some pictures I had done at Walmart years before, and the difference was astounding. Brighter colours, sharper focus...it's all in the chemicals I guess.

They are more expensive than other places by about twenty cents, but it's worth it for the quality in my opinion.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
