2 Year Anniversary gift idea help-

Happy Thursday!

This Mon. is our 2 year anniversary. We're going to either Carmine's or PF Chang's to celebrate it. We said no gifts but of course I want too make him something special. For our 1 year, I made him a coffee mug, I had all of our "first's" times together on there, small icons if you will ;o) Eg: our first date was the Phillies game so I had a Philly icon on there, our first vaca together was in Mexico at Adventura Spa, so I had their logo on their, first movie title, first dance title, etc. You get the idea. It was cute and I wanted to continue the personalized gifts. I am such a procrastinator smile35.gif though and now I am turning to you guys for help! smile124.gif

Here was one idea I thought of- he has been saying he wants to get a collage frame, so I was going to do that, and just put our pix in there, and in one picture spot, put a nice quote from a "happy anniversary" card or something in there. I wanted to make a cute calendar (Carly like the one u made Matt) but now I just don't have them time. Does anyone have any cute quick ideas?

Is a collage frame vain, putting a whole collage of pix of us on wall, hahaha.

I like the idea of a collage. We have one up in our house, so I don't feel that it is vain. LOL!

I say go for it!

Oh, also I made another collage and put it in a shadow box. In the box I have pics of us from New Years in NYC, along with 2007 glasses and the room key. It is a cute memento.

Jac - I like the collage idea too. Matt loves my calendar that I did for him last year and I loved doing it, but it took a looooong time, since i scrapped the whole thing and put alot of effort into it. You should do that for him next year, but give yourself a month or so.

You can order collages online too, from like kodakgallery. Then it is 12 photos (or whatever) on one print and you don't need the special frame. Although if Joe wants a collage frame, I think that would work and fill it with pictures of you guys, and Sheeba and his family and your family. I think it's a great idea.

This is what I made for James one time:

You know when singers' records go platinum or gold and their label gives them a framed copy of their record with a picture?

Well I made something similar to that. I bought a large poster frame from Michael's and I just used black construction paper for the background. Then I bought CD's that had songs that meant something to us and I literally just used scotch tape to stick the actual CD onto the black construction paper. I printed lyrics from our favorite song and put it in the middle.

I think I had about 4 CD's lined up in a row and then I put the lyrics on a nice sheet of paper in the middle. On the corners I cut pieces of the CD booklet and pasted it on to make it look more decorative. James loved it and a lot of guys have told me they like it too. I tried not to make it too "sappy" so I picked more "manly" songs. LOL.

What are you doing this weekend, Quel? I could help you with something if you want.
Well if I do anything at all, maybe Fri night? Sat we are going to shore to eat and head to comedy show. So I gotta go out TONIGHT to print pix, and get the frame and do it, some how some where- without freak boy up my a**. He might go to shore Fri (I'm going Sat regardless) so that might work. Let me know.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
