Needed to do something

Well I have been under a lot of stress lately with work and other stuff and needed to do something for myself so I cut my hair. 15" came off initially, then she had to cut at least another 2-3 to even everything out and put in my new style. I donated it to Locks of Love, they make wigs from donated hair for little girls who have cancer. It is a great cause. I like my new haircut but it is a lot more work than when it was long. DH thinks I look even more like a little girl, like around 12, and says that we can't go in public together because he doesn't want to be accused of being my dad even more than he was before. He was mainly giving me a bad time, but claims he likes it.

Here is my before (the only ones I had were from the wedding):

LOL I did this for a few weeks- especially conditioner. I had to rinse about half of it off my hand before I put it on! I think I finally got it down now.

Congrats on the change. Iknow I loved cutting mine off. I don't think it makes you look like you are 12! I like shorter hair cause you can vary the style up a lot. SOme days I flip mine out, other times I make it smooth bob, wear it curly, pin it back, etc. You will have fun!

That's great you got to donate yours! I had dyed hair (bleached!) so I wasn't able to donate it. Apparently if you put hi-lights in, they won't take it. BOO- I was totally sad.

Since I'm not really using blonde anymore, I hope I can donate next time!

First let me say your hair looks awesome! You must feel so light and free! Perfect for summer!

My FI said the same thing to me when I cut my bangs straight across my face last time! I laughed and told him to shut up, but then we went to the movies and I got carded. Then a salesman came to the door and when I answered, he asked if my parents were home. I kindly explained that I was the owner of this house, so no, my parents aren't home.....smile116.gif

So don't worry, you aren't alone! Just make sure you bring ID if you go see a movie that's rated R!

I have to consciously think to not put too much. DH laughed when I first washed it, he said I took longer than when I had long hair.

Totally, same with running my hand through my hair. Very difficult to get used to it not going on and on.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
