yikes, i'd pee myself or pass out. dont they say that spirts, for whatever reason, i dont know why, but they tend to ... whats the word.. like attach or leach themselves to young girls. like children. did u ever hear that and does anyone know why? i think on the movie poldergeist (sp?) the lil old lady says that. and i have heard that before on hauntings shows.

And WOW- is New Zealand beautiful or what? When they were at that castle, I kept thinking how cool it would be to have a DW there!
I liked that theory too...but I wish they were actually able to capture stuff using it. The things they heard, I wasn't able to hear and they feelings they got.

I agree, New Zealand is beautiful!

just for fun, i have a ghost story too for you guys, i didnt experience it personally, but my dad and 2 uncles did. about 15+ years ago, my uncle (moms bro) moved into a 4 story house in the northeast with his family, it was a pretty old house and needed lots of work. my dad, and 2 uncles did the work to the house before they moved in. so one night they are all there, working, its time to go, they pack up, turn lights off, close windows, etc. they are all outside getting into their cars, and my uncle says "i though i turned the lights off....i gotta go back in." here, the forth floor light was on!! they all swear to this day, that the lights were off, they said they checked the house over twice before heading out for the night. so he goes back in, turns it off and again, when he was going to get in his car, the light was on again, just in the forth floor window.it happen numerous times as work was being done. to me, even though i love ghost stuff, im not sure that id have the guts to move into a haunted house. my uncle and aunt are very religious and just didnt think it was true. but after they moved in my aunt and uncle said they thought weird things happened, and more than once my aunt claims she saw an older woman dressed in a blue dress up on the forth floor, standing near the steps. my cousin, the youngest girl in the family (they had 6 girls) swears she woke up one morning and the lil rocking chair by her bed was rocking by itself. she wouldnt go near the forth floor b/c she always felt uneasy and got goosebumps. the strange thing is that when i got older- my mom told me my aunt and uncle NEVER even told my cousin about the stories b/c they didnt wanna scare her. so she had no idea wht was even happening, but STILL felt un easy and didnt like to go upstairs to the forth floor! ahh it gives me chills when i think about it. and it looked like a house that could be haunted, it was huge, had tons of rooms, omg.
That's creapy! I think that might have been enough incentive for me to just flip the house instead of live there LOL

Freaky story Jac! But yes, there is a theory that poltergeists are "spirits" that like to cling to pubescent girls due to their high emotional states and energy. They say most of the time these spirits are mischevious and like to cause problems- like miss placing items, causing cabinet doors to open after you just closed them all, etc. GH had an episode on one of these where they believed the girl (I think she was 16) had a poltergeist haunting her. It's a very interesting idea.

I can't remember if I told this story on this thread or not, but my mom woke up one time with a guy in a leisure suit looking at her. She said he was an older man dressed in a brown leisure suit. Anyways, she tried to punch him and fell out of bed. We have hard wood floors and she really hurt her wrist. So at 3-4am we had to take my mom to the ER to get her wrist x-rayed. My dad doesn't believe in ghosts so he said she was dreaming.

What's really odd is that my sister described a very similar sighting of a man a few years later. My mom never told my sister about her "ghost" experience because she didn't want to scare her. Oddly enough my sister told my mom she saw a man in a brown suit with a hat on walking down the hall. It freaked my mom out.

LOL- i don't think she ever explained it to the doctor. I think it was more of a "I fell down" type of thing. We make fun of her for it all the time though- you know, one of those running family jokes.

I'm mean really who does that? Most people waking up to a ghost would either A- scream B- hide under the covers or C- a combo of both. No one would try to HIT them. Oh it's so my mom though. Cracks us up.

Jac- my dad rolls his eyes at us all the time. Everyone in my family believes but him. He thinks we are stupid then compares it to Santa Claus and other ridiculous comparisons.

I'm sorry- but if you believe in the body having a soul and going to Heaven (which my dad does!) then how can you not think that out of the BILLIONS of souls that have roamed the Earth that a few haven't gone astray and wound up lost.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
