Thats funny what part of L.I. are you from originally? We are thinking of moving to NC after we get married and I graduate from Grad school. But i dont know. My fiance is an architect and hes better off near NYC. I just want a big house that doesnt cost as much as it does here...its rediculous. I can dream though can't I.
I grew up in Deer Park and Tommy grew up in North Babylon. Nothing fancy =]

We moved to Baltimore just for that reason - we wanted to start a life and a family and didnt want to pay an arm and a leg. We closed on our house the day after he proposed! The house I live in would have cost me atleast 500,000 on Long Island, and we didnt pay half of that.

When are you getting married? I have about a year to go but am getting a lil frantic about it. =]

Dont worry about having to go to Nizuc or Sunrise for dinner, just do the lobby shuttles, its not really that big of a deal, its like if you were staying in a hotel and had to go out to dinner. At least your guests are in Nizuc and not Sunrise, that would be more of a PITA. I'm a bit jealous actually, I love the look of the Grand rooms.
THANKS POOKIE!!!!

How has everyone been? Planning, planning, planning?!

I think I'm doing well, we have some last minute room changes, my MOH brokeup with her BF, so we need to move some people around and that's a PITA. Other than that, I'd like to think we have everything done. We are doing a sand ceremony, i found a script online and emailed it to my WC, she said there are no problems with the JOP reading it, though she did try to persuade me to have one of our friends read it. As an aside, I might end up killing my MOH, but I think I'll post a whole new blog about that.

Glad to hear they are doing the sand ceremony speech for you! I want to do the same.

I believe the only chapel Moon Palace has is the chapel gazebo. If you review posts (probably about 10 pages ago) you will find several pictures. :o)

Hey Pookie - I think the reason she tried to presuade you to have a friend read it is strictly for the fluency. I started compiling the ceremony I want our minister to read and that thought came across my mind. I know that some speak English well, however there is still that language barrier and some words might not come out as they are supposed to. I emailed my WC about sending the ceremony script and she has yet to reply. I have been emailing her since mid June and she has not replied - it is getting frustrating! We leave in 13 days and I want to ring their necks :o)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
