DONE WITH MY BOARDS!!!! wooohoo.. alright.. gonna post some pics of dreams, which is absolutely fabulous.. i know how nerve wracking it can be trying to plan everyhting from home, i got there very frustrtated, and claudia instanttly calmed me down and reassured me.. the WCs are fabulous. they really do have evyerhting under control, and get everything done. they will really work with you to get you what you want. as far as a few of the things you guys asked:

the spa: you can only have your cocktail hour or reception there after the spa hours are over. this is after 8pm. so doesnt really work out that well unless you plan to start really late. the area is beautiful, im sorry i didnt get a chance to get some pics there, but our cocktail hour is going to be around 3pm, so they wouldnt budge on that one. other possible locations were the terrace, which there are tons of pictures of, and the garden. both locations when decorated, look beautiful. we actually decided to do something a lil different and have our cocktail hour at the himutsu.. they dont open until 4pm, so we were given the ok to do the cocktail hour there. its an outdoor open restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean, and they said they could set up our cocktail hour there.

the lagoon: its next to the pool (actually in one of the pictures im gonna post), i swam in it once. no one really does swim in it.. the floor kinda feels muddy and gross.. but it is pretty.. some people actually took a little paddle boat out on it. the pool isnt super huge, however, it never seemed to be overcrowded. the hotel doesnt actually fit tons and tons of people. which is one of the thigns i loved about it. you get a very private feel. theres a lot of land, and a lot of places to go, but its never really crowded and the service is fabulous! a very big plus. everyone was so friendly and pleasant to be around.

there were weddings every single day, somedays up to 3. but no one really stepped on each others toes. so if thats a concern for anyone about having more than one wedding that day, i wouldnt worry about it. the WC really have it under control to make sure everyone has a fabulous day.

the hotel overall may not be the most elaborate in terms of some of the newer architecture (riu), however, it is amazing.. the food is amazing.. service is amazing. and it was just an overall fabulous experience.!

if anyone has any other questions, i would be happy to try to answer them

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
