katrina i LOVE your flowers, theyre SO pretty! but i do agree with you about the hair flowers looking more like theyre for a FG than a bride.

here's where i need your (honest) opinion - does this dress make me look too chubby? i ordered it from jcrew for my shower this weekend and it just arrived today. not sure how i feel about it yet. i'm thick in the middle, so nothing ever looks right on me in the waist part sad.gif what do you think?

Maura, the picture of you from the side shows how thin you are, and I don't think the dress makes you look chubby at all. The only thing I noticed because you asked for opinions so I had to look at it for a while is that you have a womanly body. I have the same hips, but on you I think it looks fine because you have a thin waist. Hourglass figure!

In other words, you look fine. You look like a woman, not a teeny bopper. Which is a good thing!

Sooooo adorable, Amy!

I have a question I have been meaning to ask you, Amy. The 175 RSVPs...is that for your wedding in PV or are you having a AHR? That's a lot of people for a DW. You have relatives in Mexico also, right?

Thanks Martha! The 175 is for my wedding in Mexico, no AHR here (the whole point for a DW was to avoid a 300+ wedding). I do have fam in MX, but only about 10 of my guests are already in MX everyone else is coming from L.A.!

That's exactly why we are having a DW! We would have had about 300 guests too...I can't imagine how much that would have cost in L.A.

We only have about 30 guests....I would go nuts with 175! Wowzers!
You are going to have so much fun though!!!

Honestly, it would have probrably cost what we are spending now, but not nearly as nice. I can't imagine how much it would cost to have our reception on the beach in L.A.

Yes, having 175 guests will be fun, but it triples the amount of work I have. I made about 150 luggage tags last night (kids are not getting one).

maura, i looooove that dress on you. i think it fits very well and if you are concerned about any areas, the pattern works well as a distraction because i don't notice anything!

amy i LOVE the fg dresses! your wedding is so soon! yay! cheer2.gif

Abbie, thanks for posting that TSA thread. :) It will be so helpful to many of us brides.

Maura, that dress is the BOMB. So is the blue one. You look lovely in it. Don't change a thing. The blue tie is cool, too.

Katrina, your flowers are so purty.

and I love love love your flowergirl dress, Amy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How cuuuute!

So I went to pick up J and my rings last night. I had my engagement ring dipped in rhodium so I won't be wearing it again til Wed of next week when we leave. I want it to be so sparkly. And YOU KNOW that I hid them immediately in a safe place (but not before I made him try on his ring , because it was sized) and said, Look at it long and hard before I hide it from you til the ceremony since you lost the last one. LOL.

We are getting close ladies.

I'm going to post my party pics up and share them with you. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
