Sacred Heart Diet Anyone?

Recommended Posts

day 1 not so bad. had 3 bowls of soup, and about 1/2 of a small watermelon. i just made a smoothie w/ raspberries, peaches, skim milk, and leftover fruit salad from yesterday's bbq, and i added 2 sweet and lows. it made about 3 servings and i'm sure i'll finish the 2nd before i go to sleep tonight.

tomorrow, i'll have soup for breakfast, followed by a 10am dentist appointment and a trip to the supermarket. i need a potato, and some other veggies for the day. i am out of frozen string beans, and will prob buy some peppers, mushrooms, and onions for a stir fry. any other suggestions?

Today is my last day and low and behold...I left my lunch bag in the utility room. Didn't notice until I got ready to get out of the car at work. Now I'm pissed. So now I have not breakfast or lunch. We do have a huge cafeteria/restaurant on-site. So I am able to go and get veggies only. It just sucks that now I have to buy my lunch. Can't believe I did this on the last day. Guess I will be drinking a ton of water and coffee to get me to lunch!! I didn't lose any weight, but then I'm not surprised. I was trying to lose the 5-8lbs that I gained while I was out of work (for 6 months) and eating a ton of junk.

However, this diet has taught me better self control which I seemed to have lost for a while. So I will do a variation of the diet since I have so much soup left and hopefully in two weeks I will be where I want to be. For everyone just starting I really do think it's a good diet. Because you are eating veggies, fruits, proteins and healthy carbs. This will definitely get you on the right track for changing your lifestyle in regards to eating more healthy and making better decisions. IMHO! Good luck ladies!

Ok, so I told you all I'd post this morning...well....FI is down 15 lbs (as per last night) and I'm doing 12-13 lbs (as per right now). We were going to take two days off and then start again, but we're going away this weekend. So we'll probably take the week off and eat sensibly and then start again next Monday.

I just want to thank everyone for your support. We couldn't have done it without you!!!

I'm starting the diet today, but FH doesn't want to to it too. In fact he is eating pizza right beside me right now! This is going to be hard, but I really want to do it. I'm going camping next weekend and I want to look hot in my new bikini!

I'm not sure. I debated the same thing. I think I found something online that said they're different but wasn't 100% sure. I just decided to skip the beans (even though they're my FAVORITE).

I've been going to the gym but after beef day I gained 3 pounds so I've lost 4lbs total. I'm completely happy though cause I feel lighter and healthier. It's gotten me on the right track to stay away from bread and pasta.
YAY Monica! Good for you! What thread are you planning pics on huh.gif

I missed you earlier, but I would have said you'll be fine to cook your soup in the crock pot. I only fit 1/2 a batch in mine, but it came out fine!

You can do it! Just make sure to have variations of veggies on hand.

WELL Ladies - I haven't posted in a while because I wanted to tell you all today that as of yesterday, I decided enough was enough and I threw in the towel! I hung on as long as I could but the soup just got the better of me. Like FYB said, it will give you a start in the right direction as far as eating better and low carbs and it ABSOLUTELY has done that for me. I think in total I am down 1 lb which is better than where I was LOL!!

You guys that are hanging in there are so inspirational to everyone. My FI said he wanted to try it before the wedding, so I may have another go round in October. Other than that I am going to go back to good old fashioned healthy eating, more activity and water, water, water!

Good luck everyone!
Luv YA!!

I also came off of the diet yesterday, lol, it was my last day, thank god!

I started back on my weight watchers points yesterday, so it was nice to be able to eat whatever I wanted.

Good luck everyone!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
