My Ridiculously Long Cabo/Dreams Site Review

Hi Sarah,

Although I am not a Dreams bride it is still nice to review your review. I did notice that you had long sleeves on in one picture....what was the weather like while you were there? Day & night? I have never been to Cabo in February and I am curious.

Thanks!

The average while we were there was 76 during the day and 57 at night. During the day when the sun was shining brightly it felt hot. But, there was such a nice breeze that if you weren't in the sun it was chilly. And at night it was quite cool! I only had brought two light sweatshirt jackets and was not warm enough wearing one at night. The resort did have those nice outdoor heaters and a big bonfire every night that people tended to congregate toward!

Oh, and I also forgot to mention that there was a whale hanging out right in front of the resort the day we got there and we saw him surface like 5 times- it was so cool! We really wanted to do a whale watching cruise, but just didn't have the time.

Sarah, I know that I have said this time and time again but I CAN"T WAIT TO GET DOWN TO CABO!!! Thanks for your reviewwhich reminds me to tell guests about the timeshare people... I really appreciated the review about the Mega. i never had the change to visit and it was my number one regret about my sourcing trip.

I am really glad to hear about the rooms amenities as well. That's a great touch!

Yes, i forgot to put that in here- I knew someone had asked me about roses! They had bouquets of 18 roses at Costco for $16USD, but I wonder about how accurate the prices were because it was Valentines day, you know what I mean? I wonder if they are normally cheaper. Mega did not have any flowers at all, and they also didn't have flowers last time we were there. I would assume then that Mega does not carry, or at least is not a reliable source for flowers.
Costco had the roses for $16 and the quality was what I would call OK. Not great, but ok for maybe table decor, or using the petals. Not something I would want my bouquet made out of. Putted tulips were $23 and the quality was poor. They also had a selection of some misc. bouquets that might be cute centerpieces if you had a bright theme, because they had a variety of flowers mixed together including Gerbers, Calas, Bird of Paradise, Carnations, etc. We decided that we would just try to have Dreams arrange for our drowned rose centerpieces, our floral arrangements at the Gazebo, my bouquet, Jeff's bout and the petals for the aisle and tables. If we decide we need flowers for anything else, we will go to Costco.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
