Barefoot sandals dilemna

Recommended Posts

I came across this site tonight and thought some of you might be interested. There are step-by-step instructions to make a simple barefoot sandal that looks fancy. I just glanced over the instructions and they seem pretty easy, just a time consuming project b/c the beads used are very small.

Those are just beautiful. I made this kind for all the girls who traveled with us to Curacao. Just to show that there are all kinds of options. Let me know what you think. Thanx

Very nice!! Did you make them with stretch cord or beading wire? I have toyed around with the stretch cord but i'm not convinced it's strong enough.

These are the ones I made for my first try when I accidentally let go & dropped every bead before I had a chance to tie them off!! Grrrrrrr....
They took quite a bit of time because of the small beads. I won't be trying them again!
I can't wait to have the time to try out round 3 with my newest beads! cheer2.gif

I made these with 0.7mm stretch cord. You do have to be gentle with it as it will stretch out. But mine have lasted aver many uses and are still in the same condition as when new. I just used 2 crimp beads to secure them.

Here is a pic of the whole group at the wedding in Curacao.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
