I have a question for anyone married at Dream Cancun, or maybe have stayed there... What do you recommend in terms of accommodation for the bride and groom? We are trying to decide between the honeymoon suite or perhaps the jacuzzi junior suite... but having not seen pictures of either one, I have no idea. Anyone have an opinion regarding the pros/cons of either one?

i was just at dreams for my site visit and would def def recommend the junior jacuzzi suite. i asked concierge about this and they took me up to see the junior suite and it was fabulous.. i dont have pictures, but it was a huge room with a king size bed and living room area, and the balcony was so beautiful with the jacuzzi... when speaking to the lady from concierge about the honeymoon suite, she actually recommended the junior jacuzzi suite. the honeymoon suite is 2 floors with the king size bed on the second floor and and pull out couch on the first. she said they actually used to use it for families but then decided to make it a honeymoon suite. hope that helps! im sure people who have stayed there will have more opinions :-)

Thanks so much! That is really helpful. I think I like the idea of having a jacuzzi on the balcony rather than 2 floors and no jacuzzi! And the jacuzzi junior suites are in the tower section aren't they? They must have an amazing view! The honeymoon suites seem to be in a lower building closer to where the gazebo is as far as I can tell from random pictures I've seen on tripadvisor, etc. Do you think the jacuzzi junior room is big enough to have all the bridesmaids in getting ready and dressing on the big day??

the jacuzzi junior suite is in the tower, i would suggest asking to get one on a higher floor bc the view is magnificient. you see the ocean and the gazebo while your getting ready. the honeymoon suite is in the pyramid. not sure what side of the building as far as the view, whether its the dolphin view or ocean side. but the tower view is incredible. the jacuzzi suite is def big enough for all the girls to get ready in. its big enough to have a whole party in there :-)

we had a jr. jacuzzi suite, we loved it!! The room is huge, the Red Sox were in the playoffs when we were down there and we had all of our friends up in our room one night to watch the game ( I think there was about 18 of us) and it wasn't crowded at all. There is a couch, 2 chairs I think, and a table with 4 chairs in the same area. So you would have plenty of room for all of you to get ready. We were on the second or third floor and had a beautiful view of the gazebo from our balcony.

Hartyt509, just wanted to give you a heads up, Daniella is offering your wedding date, but at 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, or 6pm. Looks like we all can count on there definitely being more than one wedding on our dates, huh? (At least those of us in May anyway ... seems to be a busy time for them.) I know there's another girl on BDW who has May 8th ... I got offered 4pm that day.

I would be very disappointed if they were holding weddings practically every HOUR at the gazebo.

But anyway, at this point I have no idea what my fiance and I are doing ... due to financial reasons we most likely have to look elsewhere (for the sake of our guests). Maybe even a cruise. Everything is so up in the air.

Did she give you a list of available dates? My wedding is May 30,2009 and I hope we are the only ones for that date

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
