Geez....I don't even have a photographer yet! Have you been happy with Claudia so far?

We originally had a 4pm, and I'm even thinking about pushing it up to 3:30. I want to write our ceremony and see how long it's going to be first. But we're having a cocktail hour after the ceremony and I'd like the sun to be setting during that time.

Are you planning on seeing the groom and taking pics prior to the ceremony? Or did Claudia think that with a 4pm start time she still have enough sunlight after the ceremony to snap some pics of the happy couple?

This is EXACTLY why we are having a destination wedding. Between the two of us, we've been in 16 weddings (over the course of our lives, not just the last year) and we are "weddinged out". I would LOVE to go to a wedding just as a guest!! (We do love all of our friends dearly and are very honored to be a part of their special days.)

Yes I have been very happy with Claudia, she was not available but my next choice from her group, Citlalli was so I was ecstatic. That sounds nice to have the sun setting during the cocktail hour, thinking about it now it will work out that way for us too. 4pm ceremony and 5pm cocktail hour. No I am not going to see my FI before the ceremony. Thats why we had to push it up because with a 5pm ceremony time we would not at all get the pics in before the sun would set.

Okay, thanks. That helps.

I've just started freaking out about a rehearsal dinner dress and new bathing suit. Come October/November, tropical attire will not be in the stores! Have you guys thought about purchasing that stuff ahead of time? I'm planning on losing some more weight by then, so this is hard!!

I booked Citlalli as well. Our ceremony time is at 4:00, but I have heard that the sun sets around 5-5:30 and sets quick. I finally convinced my FI to take pics before the ceremony. I want to take a lot of pictures of us and the bridal party and was afraid we wouldn't have enough time afterwards since we want to do a lot of family shots. We are having a cocktail hour starting at either 5 or 5:30.

We are having our ceremony at 3:30 as our photog suggested that so we could do pics after and get the sun set.

I am stocking up on summer clothes, bathing suits and stuff for our kids OOT pails now as I know the fall and winter stuff will be out by mid-july!

i've been buying some summer dresses now and plan to go out in July to get a bunch more. i'm dreading the bathing suits. I'm trying to lose a bunch of weight too, so i've been guessing what size i'll be. so far everything i bought was sized as S,M or L and not # sizes. I better be able to fit into the sizes i've got or i'll be screwed come Nov.

I remember trying to find stuff for Jamaica in Sept and it was nearly impossible. I ended up getting sundresses from a store like burlington coat factory that gets things a season later.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
