2 wedding bands or 1?

Recommended Posts

i had thought i just wanted one 2mm band with my solitaire e-ring, but when i went to try them on this weekend, i think i found a set i like better. i had my solitaire set up pretty high, so you can clearly see the point and underside of the diamond. i realized when i tried on 2mm bands with it, there are some styles that wont look right because of a higher profile than others. then i tried on a few contour bands, which dont work either because my diamond is not set low enough to need that wide of a curve. then the jeweler put another contour on top of the e-ring, opposite direction, and it looked so cool! so i think i might do that, if its in the budget. 8 weeks left and we still havent gotten our rings! oops!

this is the ring, but picture another one flipped over, and in between both, my e-ring solitaire.

My ring cames with two bands. I didn't plan it, that was just the ring that I liked. I was only planning on wearing one but seeing the whole set together looked so much better. But I guess it's everyones own personal preference.

I will have the engagement ring plus two matching bands. I loved the whole past, present, future idea but I felt like everyone I knew had that ring so we decided to do it with the three rings. I wear one band on top of my engagement ring now (past)....He gave me both when he proposed. The engagement ring represents the present and the wedding band will represent the future.

This is my band two!! I have a solitaire that is set high so nothing looked right so I got this band except it has only 12 little diamonds. And I have one on both sides. Crazy!

I couldn't get a wedding ring because my E ring is just a weird shape and its like 2 rings joined together.

I eventually found another Eternity ring that is kind of similar but flat on one side and it sits better than anything else i've seen so I got that. While we were there I saw a lush Eternity ring that is about 4 sapphires and it fits under the other one so he bought me that 2 lol

It just depends on what you want and your budget, I'll be honest the 2 of mine cost about £425 which is cheaper than some wedding rings

Thanks for all the responses! I agree it all depends on the budget. As far as "earning the 2nd band" I think for the year anniversary it would be nice. Maybe buy it now while it's still on display and only give it to me on our anniversary.... again $$$.

LOL. Thats funny.

I think it's all about complimenting the Ering. If you want two, get two. if one looks best, have one. I don't think there really are rules about this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
