I asked 2 cousins to be "special attendants" and as people got off the boat they directed them to sign the mat at the table. They were in charge of making sure everyone signed it and passing out the bubbles. They had to round up some stragglers later but they got it done.

Side bonus for them, they got to be on the programs as special attendants, and they got gifts...woohoo!

We are having a photo guestbook, so while everyone gets to the beach for the wedding, they will get their pics taken, and then they will be put in the guestbook on their page. When they are getting their pics taken, whoever is taking the pics can let them know what it is for, and if my FI nieces don't make it, they should be able to figure it out hopefully. I am also putting the favors on the guestbook table in little individual boxes with the guests names on them, so I don't think they will miss the table.

Another idea is to have the book passed along the tables for thoses that didn't sign it. After all, DW are usually smaller, with not too many tables.

i did, but that's because we're doing to postcard guestbook. i don't have it near me but it says something like "please take a moment to write us a postcard filled with well wishes and memories. we'll mail them back home and enjoy reading each one after our honeymoon." i printed it on nice green cardstock and put it in a dark wood frame.

I'm still debating what I want to do for my guestbook... If I do a photomat or plate I will probably just assign someone to be in charge of it.

If I go for the photobook type thing - where w/ the help of my ex-MOH I am going to make it a scrapbook with the photos of each group and their wish/advice written to us on squares of cardstock or something - I would probably set up a sign like the one below to explain what I want.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
