Lucy - love your dress!! That's so pretty!!

Celina - 325 people?! WOW! That will definitely be a party!

All of ya'lls (sorry - I tried to avoid it but I don't know how else to say this sentence without a 'ya'll') plans for AHRs sound lovely! We are not planning on having one as part of the reason we're having a DW is to get away from the stress of planning a big affair. Except I'm going to have a "tea party" with my Grandma when I get back from the wedding because she can't come. All of her friends are coming over and we'll look at the pictures and the video.

TODAY IS MY 6TH MONTH MARK!!!! YIKES!!!

You ladies are really keeping me on the ball! We were originally going to have our AHR in late January/early February to avoid the whole Christmas season. In all honestly I didn't really want one at all but my mother seemed to think that only about 15 people would come to the wedding.

Now we are basically rethinking the whole AHR thing because we already have 46 people booked to travel with us to Mexico - my mom actually agrees that we probably don't need one - thank goodness since I never wanted one in the first place!

SO excited that my bridal store called yesterday to say my dress is in! WOoo hooo - Now I just need to make an appointment to go and try it on!

We got our OOT bags from Welcome to Ailana Kai - they are $2.50 plus shipping - so works out to about 6 per bag. I know couple of other girls on here ordered from there - we are still waiting to get them!

Good to know Helen. Do you think I should go ahead with my DIY cups? The thing that is holding me back is that people have to keep washing their cups out. THEN - I was thinking of buying some plastic throw away cups (think the Solo brand cups that are red and blue) - I saw some that size at Sam's club that were teal/aqua colored - and I could just put the waterbottle stickers on them with our names and date instead and give each couple who stays at RIU a couple of those to use. What do you think?

Yeah - that's what I was thinking too at the open house at our house.

As I promised Danielle, here is the link to my dress...the dumb thing wont let me save it. Take the straps off and that is it. I dont have pics of me in it here at the house. David's Bridal - Bridal Gowns T8612 Satin A-line with lace embroidered cap sleeves, side draping, beaded metallic embroidery on bodice Sorry it is a link all. Or just go to Davids Bridal website and it is style # T8612
Okay Steph - your dress is beautiful! I LOVE it! Are you wearing a veil? When I looked at it, I thought my veil would match your dress perfectly! I am getting it at David's Bridal. It's style 689. It has an embroidered edge. I tried to have Ocean Easy do a replica and they couldnt, so I'm stuck paying the Davids Bridal price. It wasn't until I put that veil on that I felt like a bride so I'm sticking with it!

Needless to say, your dress is beautiful! Great choice!

Thanks Celina, I was going to do a veil (I already have it and it is just like yours but without the scalloped edge, love yours but the way). But after reading how windy dreams cancun gazebo is I think I am going to ditch the veil, dont want it in my face the entire time. I am going to do flowers in the hair. What do you all think... are colored flowers too Chiquita banana? Do I need to do white flowers in my hair? The bouquet I picked is all sorts of bright colors (can change that too if need be).

I love that website Ailana Kai, please let us know when you get those and if you like the bags!

Chiquita Bananna ! HA Ha Ha!smile120.gif That is hillarious!

Colored flowers may add some pop! I'm not sure. I'm doing flowers in the hair and a veil!

Are your BM's having flowers in their hair too? Maybe you should go white...afterall, you ARE the Bride! angel2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
