Yes, we have the neighbor from hell.... **updated**

Recommended Posts

Are there any city bylaws that she's using against you? Or can you use them against her?

Sue her for harrassment and for the price of your renos!

It's for the same reason I want a huge privacy fence built around my property. I hate nosy neighbours with no life!

Maybe you guys should do a complete 180 on her and freak her right out. Invite her over for coffee, view the construction so far,

NAH... I don't think I could bring myself to do that either!

Ok so I am all for revenge, matter of fact I am probably the queen of revenge. But why dont you try and kill her with niceness. Bring her wine, cookies, cake, flowers, what ever.....I would be do F*ing nice to her everyday that it would practically kill her. Its worth a shot. Sometimes being nice is the best revenge you can give to some one like that. Then if that doesnt work........ IDK... hire a hit man?

Dude that SUCKS!

We have a lady like that & she is the "condo association president"...in other words she is in charge of driving everyone crazy!

She's like 100 years old and just a mean, grumpy, old lady...when we first moved in she used to start with us all the time because we were like the youngest in the condo complex...she used to write us letters all the time & I would come home from work & she would tape them to our door...Finally I wrote her back this 5 page letter & taped it on her door, and pretty much told her to go F-herself (not in those exact words of course, I dont want to give the lady a heart attack...or do I? blush2.gif But you know what, after my letter, she has not once bothered us since...that was like over a year ago...no letters from her to date ! friday.gif

Honestly, sometimes you just have to stick up for yourself. Your neighbor thinks she can run all over you, probably because you have not confronted her seriously yet, but if you do, most likely, she will back off. smile67.gif

I was thinking the same thing...kill her with kindness...she would totally flip if you stopped by to clear the air and dismiss any misunderstandings they must have about you etc....revenge may feel good at the moment..but you don't want to do something that you'll regret later...

I work in Planning Design and Construction and you must have a permit for just about everything...some counties are less anal about them. Check to see what the code is for height on residential buildings or additions...if there is a code restriction you can always file for a variance with your county...a board will review it and let you know if it was approved or not... As for Joan Crawford...I would file a harrassment suit against your lovely neighbor... How miserable is it to be her!!! I'm praying for you.

Ok, first of all, you should definitely make a harassment complaint to the county about her. That may make them send her some kind of paperwork and she'll be sure to shut the f*ck up.

Then . . . order a crap load of furniture and have it sent to her house - C.O.D. Let her deal with it. Order anything you can think of that can be paid for C.O.D. and have it send to her.

Order pizza's and all kinds of take-out and have them sent to her house to deal with. I would order from a different restaurant everynight for a month. She won't know what to do with herself. But be sure not to order from your home or cell phone, some take out places have caller id.

As long as it's not against any rules, put like 30 pink flamingo's on your front lawn, all facing her house. What's she going to say about thathuh.gif??

LOL - I know, I really am such a BITCH!!! (I also grew up in Queens, NY - we used to do this crap just for fun.) And I can't even tell Brendan I just gave Shelley this advice. He'll kill me. LOL!!!

I'm not into this "kill them with kindness" crap. Screw her - if she want to play, we can play too.

You know what Shelley - just give me her address. I'll do it for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
