Anyone else have a neighbor from hell?

Recommended Posts

Celina- probably a stupid question but did you try dawn on the grease?

Our friends live down the street and their next door neighbor is a nut job. They take their dog to the bathroom in their front yard because they don't use it as much and the neighbor's cat sits in his window. Well the cat freaks out everytime he sees our friend's dog and the cat jumps out of the window and tears through the house.

Apparently, the cat ripped behind the computer and damaged a $100 chord. The neighbor came over to their house and banged on the front window. Not their door- lol. They came out and he angrily shouted at them about the chord and blah blah blah and wildly shook the chord about. He's a huge videogamer so he was VERY upset.

Last week, he called the cops on them for playing their music too loud while they were cleaning the garage at 5pm. He banged on their garage door and told them that he can't hear his games over the music. They were completely shocked because they were talking to eachother while they were cleaning so it wasn't obnoxiously loud and the garage door was down. The cops came and quickly left but they are terrified at what this guy will do.

I think I'm going to start walking my dogs down their street. LOL

A lot of neighbours are crackers its not just yours lol

We had a neighbour that came banging on our door at 9pm saying we were making too much noise and their 3 year old couldn't sleep. This happened 3 times (we didn't have music on lol) the last time I dragged the bloke into the house, marched him into the kitchen and said what can you hear he said Dr Dr by Aqua very very loudly lol I said yeah right and where the hell is it coming from? Oh that would be your 12 year olds room in YOUR OWN house lmao idiot!!

When I was younger and living at home the neighbour next to my mum kept letting her dog crap on our garden, my dad was going nuts about it and continually told her, in the end he called environmental health who went out and visited her. Next thing she writes bitch in creasote across the front of our garden but the stupid cow had gone and stood in her own garden and leaned across to do it so it was obvious where it had come from lol

So she had a son that was about 20,played his music loud and was generally a pain but nothing like his mother. Dad said well the police aren't helping I'll sort it, He grabbed him out of the house by the scruff of his neck and said the next time anything happens to our property I am gonna beat the living shit out of you lmao needless to say we didn't get anymore grief lmao

Oh and an old neighbour of mine got pissed and hit a bloke over the head with hammer and got done for murder - so you see its not just you lmao

Nutters are worldwide pokestick.gif

He sounds like a real @#$#hole. I feel for you. I lived in a townhouse for 4 1/2 years (moved last Feb) and had a neighbour who was a jerk.... but not as bad or as passive agressive as this. Good luck with the animal complaint. Do you have a neighbour on the other side who can act as witness?

i wanted to make sex noises against the walls before we moved, but dh said to be the better person.

I used to live in Daytona Beach, Fl aka Crack Town USA and my neighbors were crackheads- literally. They would sit on the stoop outside of my apt and wait for me to come home so they could ask to use my cell phone, borrow money, sell me pieces of their furniture, and one time they even asked if they could borrow $20 and in exchange they would let me "hold" their TV until they paid me back. It got to the point that I was afraid they were going to break in apartment while I was at work so I started leaving the TV's on all day so they wouldn't know if someone was in the apt. It was ridiculous. And what's worse is they had a infant that cried all the time, probably b/c they didn't feed her enough.

OMG - Rachel - you should tottally start walking your dog that way!! lol! --

Yeah, we do have a neghibor on the other side that will stick up for us if need be - I'm supposed to get served with the fine monday at which point I get to tell them we appeal it, and they subpoena the jerk to show up in court and face is in person. -- that which I am also happy about because court will have to be monday-friday during regular business hours, and this guy will be forced to take off work to show up!--- lucky me - Im a freelancer, so my schedule is up to me -- and its not nearly as big of a deal for me to take off a day as I'm sure it is for him! lol

.... I cant wait to save and get a single family house so I dont have to deal with this kind of stuff anymore!

Thanks for sharing your stories everyone.... It makes me feel like I'm not the only one that has to deal with crappy neghibors.... which makes me feel better in a way!

I'm sure I will repost something once we go to court and figure out how it's going to go down. - Our lawyer says there is no case since the animal control board tends to usually side with the pet owner... and puts the buden of proof on the accuser.... in which case, there cant be any proof since it has not happened.... hopefully it will just be done with. -- I'm just worried, what if he continues to complain after that!?

-- We decided to put a 6 foot fence up on his side so we dont have to see him anymore... lol.... I told my wife last night, we should put the fence up, and then run our hose over towards his house all day (if you missed the original post, he complianed about a drain draining onto his property-- but the drain has not been working since we moved in!)

Yes- we tried everything! Dawn, kitty litter (to absorb the grease), all kinds of cleaning and degreasers, we went as far as trying muratic acid - all that did was pull the color out and make it look worse. In the end the stains won and I bought the rug!

I forgot, I had a REDNECK neighbor that lived across the street from me. This family had the most obnoxious kids. They had a boy who liked to start fights among all the kids. It had gotten to the point where he wasn't allowed on our property, and none of the kids would play with him because he was always hitting them. One day obnoxious boy, my daughter, my son and another neighbor boy were playing outside. I was sitting on my neighbors porch watching the kids play. Well, obnoxious boy snatches a toy from my then 1 1/2 year old son. My daughter saw him and told him to give it back. Instead of giving it back, he threw it at my son.

I let my daughter beat his ass for a good 30 seconds before I said to stop! LOL! I know its wrong but he SO had it coming. His mom came out and said "Aren't you going to make her apologize"? I said "no - your kid does it all the time when you're at work and your husband lets your son terrorize the neighborhood. Kids will be kids! " To make a long story short - she threatened to have her 200lb - 6ft tall - 15 year old son "handle it" with my daughter.

I ended up calling the cops on her for threatening my then 9 year old daughter. The police were very nice to us and gave her an ASS CHEWING!

They were renters and eventually moved. After they moved out the owners were there cleaning and we were talking and I was tellling them about this, they said they had no idea they were like that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
