We are having a converstion at work about comfy shoes. What kind of shoes do you all wear? I had said I thought a lot of medical folks wore Crocs, another lady thinks there is another shoe that sounded like Birkenstock but wasnt actually the sandal. Anyone know what it is?

Danskos are the ONLY way to go!

I can seriously work 6 12 hour shifts in a row and my feet never hurt. I'm dying after 2 hours in tennis shoes.

I even have a couple "normal" looking Danskos that I wear everyday. My feet are kinda used to them since I work so much and get mad when I wear real shoes now lol.

I have really cute black patent ones for work...

lol... I've been off since Sunday morning. I slept yesterday until noon, then slept last night- I'm back on a day schedule for the week now. Today I'm catching up on my 500 bazillion design projects I'm behind on! lol I really don't sleep much. I often stay up 36 hours straight, or sleep a total of 10 hours in 3 days. Yeah, I'm crazy...

The advantage of wearing a shoe like Danskos is they have a stiffer sole so when you are on your feet all day, your foot doesn't have to work as hard. They have minimal arch support. Birkenstocks have a built in arch support and good support. Crocs are comfortable but they are made of a softer material and breakdown easier than a stiffer shoe so you have to replace them more often. The best thing to do is try shoes on at the end of the day when your feet are more swollen and tired and see what feels best to you. Shoes will not "break in" and get more comfortable after you wear them so make sure you like them in the store. Send me a PM if you have any other questions (I'm a podiatrist).cheesy.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
