Hi Ladies! I have a question for those who used Maye's services?......

What did you use her services for? Dj, flowers, decore etc...

How well was she on top of things?

Did your wedding day run smooth?

Can you tell me what you liked and disliked about her or her servcies if any??

I have been chatting with her via e mail and she seems really nice. I guess i am just a little nervous about hiring someone, but i think it can help me out alot!

Hi Brandy,
I used maye and thought she was great. Especially during the planning phase! She was prompt in getting back to me and really wants your wedding to be just as beautiful and perfect as you do! She told me that she would work with whatever budget I had and she did! If something she quoted me was too much, I told her and she searched different vendors to meet my budget. It was nice to pass it on to someone else and just wait for an e-mail with options.

She booked my DJ (was AWESOME!!), flowers, Trio Gutarists, Fire Dancers. She helped me with favors, my lanterns (she had some she let me use and I bought the rest) and was able to find the candles I was looking for everywhere here, but couldn;t find.

She is a very pleasant woman and has a lot of class. The only problem I had was that, prior to arriving in Mexico, I had sent her pictures of the size of the flowers I wanted for my hair. When they arrived on my wedding day, like 15 minutes before the photographer got there, they were huge!! Still pretty, but not what I had envisioned. I wanted to wear 3 small flowers and ended up just wearing one big one. My flower girl didn't wear any (I ordered her 3 too, but they were the size of her head) and my husband's boutonierre looked like a venus fly trap! I met with Maye the day before the wedding and SHOULD HAVE had her bring a sample flower then. I could have caught it and fixed it. Anyway it was minor in the big scheme. My husband also didn't feel that she directed the groomsmen on what to do and when to start seating, etc... I think she assumed everyone knew. Anyway I shared all of this with her after the wedding and she thanked me for the tips and said it will help improve her business.

She stayed the entire night and worked well with Mariana, the resort coordinator. All in all, there were very little problems and Maye was worth every penny!

Christine- Gilroy can be very HOTT in the summer! Morgan Hill heat is not that bad. My Fiance and I just moved to Morgan Hill a 1 1/2 ago. We love it here! The shops are great....and.... the people are really nice here compare to San Jose.

Rebecca- Thanks for your reply. Maye really seems helpful....and...she gets back to me within a day. Question: Is her fee one rate?.... and the rest is what she charges to get the flowers, dj etc..?

What a small world, I grew up in Morgan Hill. Even funnier, I was a gilroy garlic princess for the garlic festival! smile120.gif My family still leaves there, it really is a great place to raise kids.

Natalie that is so weird, my friends lived across from the high school on chesapeake court, we used to have block parties for the fourth of july and the people we stayed with were great friends with the guys from shaboom-did you ever go to their concerts at the festival? we actually went on a cruise with them

Its such a small world

I loved Maye. She booked flowers, arch, table runners/chair bows, fire dancers, fireworks, DJ, and helped me with issues I had with the hotel.

She worked seamlessly with the hotel coordinator, was awesome at working with me to find options to fit my budget, and has excellent taste. She even officiated our wedding.

Yes, she charges a flat rate and her prices for flowers, etc. were totally in-line. Further, as I stated above, if her quote was higher than I wanted to pay for something, she'd provide other options to get in line with our budget.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
