Anyways- I waited for what felt like 2 hours when I went. Biggest PIA. Now I have 2 names because I haven't converted everything over. I just got my new driver's license and I forget to sign papers in my NEW name. Argh- the pain us women always have to go through.
Well if you go in to the office you have to prove identity, so the guy on the phone said I'd have to prove it by mail too. He was a troll though so I'm going to call like 2 more times and see what other reps say...lol

Exactly! Plus if they think someone could steal and photocopy my ID, they could also just steal and send in my card...duh!

Dang it...they'll just have to put it on my tab because my year is up in a little over a month and I know I won't get to that!

eh - i did the same thing a few weeks ago, i needed to travel under my maiden name so i just used my passport (which i haven't changed yet!). not really a big deal as long as it matches whatever name you're traveling with! so as long as you book under the name that matches your passport, you're golden!

yes - it's $75 still - i am filling out the online app. now and will mail it in beofre June 8th ... they actually make it quite easy!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
