I've been watching this thread.....I love all the SHIT TALKING....ahahaha! I am going to a detox also but a different one I'm going to try the Arbonne detox. I just ordered it on Thursday.

I'm a regular pooper, I do my business at least 2 times a day..... But Tim, that's another thing entirely..... he's lucky if he goes 4 times a week! And his time in the "Office" is precious and it's like a 3 ring circus when he's dropping the kids off at the pool! SOOOO he is going for an actual colonic..........he's SOOOO excited too! I'm going to see how this works out for you ladies and see how the Arbonne one works out for me.....So maybe next time! But I will love reading up on all your experiences...

Happy Pooping!

I just stumbled across this thread tonight and 1st off I must say ya'll crack me up! But in all seriousness, my grandmother passed away on Valentines Day of this year from Colon cancer and had literally been constipated for her entire life. About year before she passed she had to have her intestines removed and had one of those bags attached to the outside of her stomach to collect all her BM. I have always had the attitude- what i don't know won't hurt me- especially about my health, but my perspective is changing on that and might just be joining ya'll on this.

Ok so I started this on Sunday (yesterday). First I took the two pills on an empty stomach like it said to do. Then I waited 15 minutes and took half a spoon full of that crap their trying to pass off as fiber. It was DISGUSTING! I have horrible gag reflex and I could barely keep it down. I'll admit it was hard for me to swallow the pills too. They are kind of big.

Anyway I remember in the old thread someone (I think it was Sarah) mentioned that they would just take the fiber with very little water and chug it like a shot. I did that b/c the thought of having to sip a whole bottle full of water made me want to kill myself. So I sucked it up and took it. YUCK! The after taste stayed in my mouth forever.

Anyway then at night I drank the tea (your supposed to let it seep for 1 to 2 minutes for the first 5 days). Yeah I'm an impatient one so I let it seep for 4 minutes. Now I also remember the girls saying that the tea helps you get amazing sleep and that you usually have to go when you wake up in the morning.

Well the tea wasn't bad at all. But I didn't get that great rest that everyone else did. My body kept waking me up to pee. So finally I wake up in the morning and nothing. No feelings of wanting to go or anything. I was really disappointed. So I took the 2 pills again this morning and then decided to up the fiber to a spoonful (which your only supposed to take after the 5th day). Yeah that did it allright. I was on the train and I thought I was going to die. But it literally didn't kick in for two hours.

So I swear to you I almost had an accident. No lie. I have never felt that way in my life. I was cramping so bad and I ran into some shady mall bathroom. I don't even know what mall I was in! I was in tears from the pain and the fear of pooping my pants. So I run into a stall and it all came out. I didn't look to see b/c I had more pressing business...there was no toilet paper in the stall. LOL. So now I had to wait until the coast was clear and I had to run to the next stall to get TP.

Umm yeah I think I'm going to wake up earlier tomorrow and take it so that if it takes 2 hours to kick in I'll still be home and not huddled in pain on the train.

OMG Glenda. First, I feel terrible for laughing at your story. I have to admit it though- I laughed. I could easily picture the whole thing. Second, I'm SO sorry you were in pain. I get pains like that when I have to poo, so I totally understand what you must felt. Third, I just wanted to say this again- I feel terrible for laughing.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
