Colonix. Turn back now or forever hold your peace.

So, yes, Colonix. I know this is a quasi-gross topic. Glenda inspired me to do it, and she's doing it too. My FI told me last night he thinks it's a great idea and would do it with me except that he is too afraid to clog our toilet. smile120.gif hahahaha. I talked to my stepmom who is totally into holistic healthcare and she has been telling me to do this for awhile now. I think I have finally got the courage to do it.

I know a couple of you were mentioning on the Biggest Loser Season 2 thread you were interested in doing it too. To be honest, I'm kinda freaked out about doing it especially after seeing the photos on the website for Colonix, but think it will be good for the stomach/digestive problems I have had over the last year. I also had a parasite last August after a trip to Mexico, and my digestive system hasn't been the same since. The doctor can't figure out what's wrong really because most of my symptoms are what they consider non-symptoms, and after 2 months of serious antibiotics most of my problems went away. I have had scans and stuff and they think everything is fine, but my body tells me otherwise. Anybody wanna do this program with me?

Here's the one Glenda and I are doing:

Colonix Colon Cleanse Official Site by Dr Natura

It is $88 for a month-long supply. I'm not suggesting we post photos of the effects, because I was really grossed out by some of the ones on the website. But you know, maybe just a little support about how it's going for everybody?

I think that's a great idea, Maura. I already completed mine, but I am really glad I did it. There were a few of us that did it in like maybe Jan-Mar sometime. Matt even did it with me! (Sounds dirty, doesn't it? Well, ok, it IS dirty, but not in the same way, ahahaha)

I miss the "empty" feeling that I had and will probably do it again in a few months. It is good to have support and a place to go to talk about poop and not have people get mad. Like if you don't want to hear about poop, say away from the Colonix threads! Reader be warned.

After reading about this on the BL2 thread I cant stop thinking about it. I mean those pics are nasty so if that is true and that is really in your body then I am all for getting that out. I just dont think I could photograph that. I will be eager to see how it goes for you guys!! and is it one of those things that you shouldnt leave your house for fear of crapping yourself (sorry for being a tad nasty)?

Carly- we talk about poop all the time. You would fit in with my household.

As for colonix, I do not know a single person that has done this- maybe Oregon hasn't caught on yet.

AND OMG- i'm going to vomit. What is that stuff coming out? IF that is in me, I want it OUT too!

My stepmom was telling me that she does it 3 times a year, and last year she got my dad into it too. I had no idea! She said it reduces the amount her belly protrudes (esp. after eating), lessened her allergies, and made her just feel better overall. I am just tired of feeling sick, and of spending money to go to a doctor just to tell me that there's nothing wrong. If there's really nothing wrong, then why is my lower belly distended? I eat right and exercise, and I shouldn't have pain in my sides when I digest food. I'm so glad Glenda recommended it and I hope that the ladies who did it back in January will chime in about their experience.

The thing that really worries me is that I DID have a parasite last year. Who's to say that its not still in there and that's what my problem is? I was totally grossed out by the testimonials and photos, but if that nasty stuff is in my intestines, I want it out!!!!!

Lucy, there is no explosive diarrhea involved in this treatment. All of the testimonials on there say that you just have the regular urge to go, but nothing that is like "I gotta get me to a toilet stat!" haha. My stepmom said it's very gentle, she has done this one before and said it was the best of the ones she's tried.

Holy shit, I wonder if that's true. My spring allergies haven't hit me yet, which is fricking weird. Usually I am sneezing 20+ times a day. I havne't sneezed 20 times in the past week!

I wouldn't say that the pictures are 100% accurate, but they give a clue. Out of the group on here that did it together this past time, I think I was the only one who had weird ones sometimes. It wasn't everytime, and it still occasionally happens now (Matt and I continued the fiber drink in the morning part, which seems to also help.)

Oh and Maura is right, for me at least. There was no emergencies or accidents, or even near accidents. I travel over 1.5 hours to work in the morning and one morning i made the mistake of drinking my fiber at home and my the time I got to work, I really had to go to the bathroom and was a little crampy, but I shouldn't've drank it knowing I was going to have to take a dump! So I woulnd't really worry about it. Plus it's really clean poo, which is interesting. (I never thought I would be so freely discussing my shit. I make Matt go to the fartherst place in the house from the bathroom when I have to go and most of the time I run the shower too. I have a bashful bowel. hahahaaa)rofl.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
