By far our favorite place on the planet! We just shot there a few months ago and plan to go back next year for another Wedding. Hopefully more!

Thing about it is, its not just the water, but the whole vibe and the peacefulness of the beach.

Thailand RULES.

Next favorite place was a little place South of Puerto Vallarta called El Careyes. We shot a Wedding at the El Carese resort which is a Starwood property and simply AMAZING. They have a private cove which was freakin amazing!

Tons of faves but those 2 spring to mind.

cheers,

Gino and Heather
Come on now...you can't tease us like that and then not put up any pics!

I would love to see some photos of those areas you mentioned.

haha...indeed we should not!

The Thailand ones should be up soon, the El Careyes ones are up on our Blog as well as on our site. Apologies for this layout looking a bit dark the collage software I used for this causes that.

The pic from Thailand should be up on our blog next week hopefully. Destination Wedding Photographer-Story by Photo

Morgan, I will have a lot of photos when I get back and you are welcome to use them
Bahamas is nice, we love Diving there usually but when we go there for Weddings it always seems that the clients end up getting married on the "less than nice" beach areas, where the waves are often too rough to really do much in the water. Like at the Atlantis, we found their beach to be highly unusable. At least the entire week we were there.

Pretty to look at but nothing but warning signs about entering the water.

The one and only club just up the beach has a much nicer beach area but same situation with the water.

Of course this is all Nassau/Paradise island. If you head to the out islands you truly have some of the most remote and gorgeous tiny islands in the Carribean, bar none. To us, thats where its at!

  • 2 weeks later...

I went to a little Carribean island, Coco Cay, on a Royal Carribean Bahamas cruise last year - LOOOVED it! The sand and water were like something out off a postcard, as are most of the pics posted in this thread! I am honestly amazed that places like this REALLY exist!

In planning my DW an awesome beach and water are really really important to me, so when I was thinking of Mexico my mom suggested the Carribean side so that maybe we could see that amazing water and sand again! I've never been to Mexico before so does anyone know how Mexico (Carribean side) and the Carribean (i.e. Bahamas) compare in terms of sand and water?

Playa Minitas in the Dominican Republic.

It's a private beach with the most insanely crystal blue water ever. Like a movie. I remember looking both ways, hearing ocean waves, and not seeing anyone for miles. The memory always makes me nostalgic. Sigh.

Well. We just got back from the Virgin Islands for 1 week. Had a good time. The nicest beach we saw was Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Beach. Both amazing and both on St. John.

Only thing that we did NOT care for were the locals. Kinda shady characters and definately not the most friendly. Moreso in St. Thomas than in St. John but overall our feeling was that we wont go back.

Great beaches is one thing but we enjoy spending time with locals and taking in the cultures. These local left alot to be desired. Not only in our opinion but in the opinions of all the people we were there with.

...pardon me for interrupting, I never heard of "cinnamon beach", that truly is a beautiful name for a beach. Good for you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
