I can completely understand feeling insecure about your weight and wearing a bridal gown but I have to tell you that you picked one that flattered you beautifully. You look absolutely stunning and your hair was perfection! I heart the earrings btw, they are fabulous.

I'm so glad you had a wonderful wedding and I love the commentaries on your pics. I have no doubt that your pro pics will be amazing and will capture the beauty that you radiated that day. smile159.gif

I'm glad you "felt beautiful" on your wedding day because you most definitely looked it. I know everyone struggles looking at pictures of themselves because you zone in on what you don't like, but take those scrutiny goggles off when you look at your pictures again -- go see what everyone else is seeing! It's too beautiful and fun to miss!
Thank you both so much. I know I need to not be hard on myself, but it's hard when you are in total denial. haha

Anyways, it really does mean a lot to me to read comments like yours. I still want to lose my weight but I guess in the meantime I truly need to focus on being happy with the person I am.

My mom's turn but unfortunately it was only half captured. The owner of the camera must have been drunk.

I know I had said this before in another thread, but I had planned on loosing a bunch of weight before the wedding- obviously that never happened. I have been really insecure about my weight- I've gained like 50lbs (probably more) in the last 5 years and I have no idea why. I will be seeing a doctor soon because my mom and sister have been diagnosed with thyroid problems. Their doctor thinks I have the same problem- we shall see.

Anyways, it means a lot to me to read everyone's nice compliments. My weight was probably one of the hardest things I have had to deal with during the planning of the wedding. While I felt beautiful the day of the wedding, I have a hard time looking at pictures. I'm excited to see the pro pics, but also a little scared. In the meantime, thanks for all the compliments.

That is my struggle now. Losing weight (need to lose 15 more) and I am trying so hard with the gym and all and i only have 5 weeks left so if i don't lose the weight i at least hope to look as beautiful as you did.

Did you get sea sick...I get sea sick and I'm afraid that's what will happen to me and we are having a day wedding so i really won't have time to recover at las caletas.

We got them at a Guess outlet sometime last summer. I had found them on Guess's website long time ago and posted it in the "groom's attire" thread. I can try to find it again. I really liked their shirts.

No matter what you will look beautiful. I had WAY more than 15 to lose so if I was that close to my goal I would have been happy!

As for sea sick, I get motion sickness easily too as do many of my family members. No one had any trouble. No worries there! I wouldn't worry about a thing and just enjoy your time!

Nope. I thought I would get sick too, but I have never taken dramamine before. The doctor said their was a possible chance I'm allergic to it, so I skipped it and crossed my fingers. I'd rather be seasick than blow up like a puffer fish. My mom took dramamine (she gets motion sickness easily) and she had no problems either. It's really smooth in the morning. You feel a little of the up and down motion when you leave the marina but after that, it's smooth sailing.

My guests said it was rough coming out the day of the wedding. The wind must pick up and make it a bit rougher. Again, no one had any issues though. My grandma was on the boat and she was the one person that really worried about taking the boat. She had no problems. I'm not sure if she took dramamine though.

The boat back from the wedding goes so fast I don't think it could have been a problem. They really haul ass. I'm not sure if they go slow on the way there to have a scenic route. Nonetheless, it was all good- no casualties.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
